h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I am a violinist/violist of over five years experience in various school and extracurricular ensembles, and I am interested in becoming a member of this symphony orchestra thing.

If you're interested in my qualifications, I can play reasonably well up to around fifth position. I can do all two-octave and some three-octave scales. I can do vibrato. I was the principle violist in the all-city "honors orchestra" and played first violin in a piano trio for a chamber music workshop. Pieces I have been working on lately include the Vivaldi violin concerto and the Bach concerto for two violins. (I hope this doesn't sound too much like bragging, but it IS true!)

I would really like to join this symphony orchestra, and so I assume one applies by posting a message here. If not, I would appreciate information on how to do so. Thanks lots!
