Best beef I ever had was from Argentina. Ate it in a steakhouse in Aarhus (Denmark).
Decapitating a seagull with a dead cat should be a mortal sin, Average Joe!

personally i think decapitating a sea with a dead cat is something that only happen once.
+ did you know about this car park near bristol, where for about 3 years, has s**t on the attendants head every time the seagull sees him, ever when he is disguised

Nice one, sultandude Maybe someday he'll even be so lucky not to get hit!
Speaking of the weather: Denmark has just had the warmest november in recorded history and there is still no sign of frost and snow. Friday I was drinking cold OUTSIDE my favourite pub untill 11 pm! Okay so we were sitting under a roof and they had put up this outdoor spaceheater, but still.... When I was a boy we had the first blizzards in mid-november!

Lucky Denmark, Pierce.
You can't imagine how much I enjoy sitting outside on the porch, looking down into our little river valley with a glass of beer or wine, or having a little campfire in the garden. I really don't need to go abroad for holidays too much (although I like most of the places I've been so far). Home's home, and nothing beats it. Maybe that's oldfashioned, but that's the way it is (at least for me).
Just have a look at some pictures from where I live at http://www.h2g2.com/A458507, and maybe you'll know what I mean.

*waking up from a long and unpleasant sleep again*
Good morning everybody, weekend's over
On the other hand, no one seems to be on h2g2 during the weekends. It's almost noon now, not too early for a little drink. I think I'm going to start a production line, perhaps I will not be the only one to like some of them.
Pierce the , are you around? I can feel the force ...

Well felt!
Nice place you live in BTW. Never had the chance to go there yet, but the moment I can I will!
a ? Don't mind if I do?
BTW: Why the unpleasant sleeps? And why so long?

Have you ever fallen asleep in a bar? If yes, do you remember the embarrassing feeling you get when you wake up, look around, and notice that you are not in your (or at least anybody else's ) bedroom, but in a bar where all the others can merely hide their laughing?
We spend one third of our life sleeping (more or less). That leaves us only little time to spend with friends in bars. (Please don't recommend to sleep with friends in bars, Pierce. That would be way out of line . On the other hand, it depends on the friends..... and the bar ..... )
Oh, yes, please help yourself with some of the s. That's a really nice drink we have made up

I remember falling asleep in a bar with loud live rock music. I was sitting 2o centimeters from one of the loudspeaker towers...
I must have been tired, no?

"Hi dudes! I'll have a with you. Double WOW on the photo's Jeremy, let me guess, you live in a museum, no, no, a castle, no,no, a helicopter, no, no, a bar? Cheers! ,cool>

It's not a museum, SD. It's just a little (53,000 people) town named Passau which is said to be one of the seven most beautiful cities in the world. (That's what Alexander von Humboldt, 'inventor' of the Humboldt Current, allegedly said.) I tried to find out what the other six are, but in vain. I found far more that seven cities that claim to be one of those seven .
However, it doesn't really matter to me. I like the place where I live, and that's the only thing that counts.

"Lovely place! Speaking of lovely cities, have you ever been to Chester in Chesire in the Northwest of England? That's a pretty lovely little city but I doubt it would be one of the top seven."

Sorry to admit that, Sultandude, but unfortunately my 'Great Britain experience' is strictly limited to four transits through London Heathrow, which is hardly representative.
I had the chance to spend 7 weeks in Ireland almost 20 years ago, taking part in a pupils' exchange program. It was the first time for me to be away from home for more than a couple of days, and I really enjoyed it. I can't compare Irish to English people, lacking a first hand person-to-person knowledge of English people, but the Irish were really nice. Very friendly and hospitable .
I liked the country as well. They said that you can have all four seasons in a day in Ireland, and I think they were right.
Perhaps I'll make it to one of the upcoming h2g2 meets in England, I'd love to come there! Without any intention to malign the Foxy Manor Bar, nothing would beat the real thing.

Favourite city? I really don't know. I've seen quite a few and each had their advantages. A small hilltop village on Corfou/Greece comes to mind though. I finally reached it after walking for many many miles many many summers ago. All the buildings were incredibly white in the hot midday sun and not a soul was seen, except for the obligatory dog who was too lazy to get up let alone bark at me.
Reminiscing that hot day makes me extremely thirsty. I'll have a couple of before I start on the , thank you!

Me too, me too!
A place that comes to my mind would be a small village in the North of Italy, named "Crespano del Grappa'. It's situated at the slope of Monte Grappa. You have a marvelous look over the valley and the lowlands around Padova.
Do we have some Italian red wine in that bar?
