Skiv, I think this is a fine idea for an entry, but you should check out other H2G2 entries on the gypsy races as well. I alwyas thouthg that many of the gypsy people came from Hungary, but that may be just my ignorance.

Of course, if you eventually send it to Peer Review as an edited guide possibility, you will have to make significant changes, especially around the use of the first person.

Whatever you choose to do with this piece, good luck to you!

It's an interesting angle to take, although I have to admit a friend of mine who is half Romany is actually one of the filthiest blokes I've ever met. You couldn't see the floor in his flat, I refused to use the toilet there, and I'm half convinced he just slept in his clothes.

But I know someone who isn't Romany who's like that as well, so I don't put it down to his background!
