"The name of America, as a nation doesn't exist"
First of all, I'm Hispanic, natualized US citizen and for the last two years, I have been at the foros of Univision.com discussing about this topic: The Univision's News Staff, name NORTHAMERICA to this nation. They name as NORTHAMERICAN to the American people, to the Presidente, Governors, States, the Army and everithing that belongs to the USA.
I have accused them to practice an Anti-American conduct. Univision rejects de idea to name this country as America.
Every day and in differents News schedulles, UNIVISION spread among the Hispanic immigrant community, that the name of this country is NORTHAMERICA.
Few people agree with me and due the UNIVISION indiference and a lack of respect to the American people and goverment, I was forced to look for another support.
On Sep-19th, I wrote to the US Attorney General, requesting his intervention but no answer has been received.
I understand that this nation was named America, at the moment of the Declaration of Independence and creation of the Constitution: UNIVISION DOESN'T CARE. This is NORTHAMERICA or NORTEAMERICA as they named in Spanish.

When I wrote to the Attorney general, I explainedhim, the necesity to enforce among people working in Communication,to obey and respect the name of this country. UNIVISION, contrary to my desires, has increased the use of the incorrect terms stated above.

Most of Hispanic community, believes that America is the Continent and that the people of this country are NORTHAMERICAN. Univision has made to know to millions of Hispanics that the name America belongs to the people from Argentina to Canada.
I have copied the Declaration and the Constitution of the USA, but didn't works.
I have this question: Was this country named America, United States or no name was created" Some hispanic say that the "Thirteen colonies called United States of America, because they were in America, as a reference but not as a name.
I need your points of view.
Thanks

Hey R204798, rather than submitting the project page to the Workshop, you had better posted your comments right over there!

Anyway, a move 'back to the entry' will correct that smiley - winkeye
