*an L-Space field is generated in part of the Library which coalesces and deposits a few hero's and a mad scientist (et al) into an aisle*

*reeling from repeated trips into L-space*
Oog... warn me the next time you're going to do that...
*stops reeling* Hey! I recognize this place! Isn't this the geography section of the H2G2 Library and Museum?

[Yar] [looking around] Beats me. I don't /do/ libraries.

Scandrea .... see if you can find a book in the geography section called "How to get a bunch of lost Hero's back home equiped only with a portable L-Space generator"

[Yar] Hmm ... I /suppose/ I could find a book to increase my INT rating, and maybe find someplace to level up a bit so I can learn the Warp spell, and I could teleport us all back.

Why not stride triumphantly back to our HQ? Or how about slink in the shadows, alert for danger at any moment?

[Dylan] [leaning down from the top of the screen] Motorcycles. You can't go down with motorcycles.

Scandrea Posted Apr 16, 2004
That works! Thanks...uh...strange guy leaning down from top of screen...
How'd you get up there, anyway?

Red (and a bit grey) Dog Posted Apr 16, 2004
Hmmmmm, motorcycles are better than walking or catching a bus I guess.
*reaches into his utility belt and presses a small button on a small device (a universal handy-dandy gadget controller if you're interested). A 'Hero-in-Distress' transponder is activated and in a few minutes a trans-thread rift opens up and a large black Harley with chrome piping rolls through on full-auto making a loud TAKKA-TAKKA-TAKKA-TAKKA noise*
Ahhhhh, here's Betsy ..... haven't had a need to ride her for a while.

Um, you could just give me the L-Space generator. After all, I do have experience with such matters...
*notices no-one is paying him any attention, and starts muttering grumpily to himself*

Scandrea Posted Apr 19, 2004
*Hears DD muttering grumpily, and completely misinterprets it.*
Do you have a better idea? Here!
*hands DD the L-space generator*

*smiles at Scandrea* Thank you.
Now, is there any particular library you'd like to get to?

Red (and a bit grey) Dog Posted Apr 19, 2004
I've always had a desire to see sea's library ..... she's in STUMPED as well so I think we can seize whatever is in there with impunity
*hands DD the coordinates A505162*

Right *adjusts glasses, breathes deeply and then fiddles with the L-space generator a bit* Follow me. *the Dewey Demon leads a procession of motley super-heroes into the stacks, through the mystery of L-space and to their destination: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F61908?thread=410032 *
