The 'I Don't Want To, I Don't Have To, You Can't Make Me' Issue

I have had a number of encounters recently with supposedly grown people with a very immature attitude. They have no interest in learning anything (in fact I'm surprised that they ever did, like in school), or revising their supposed knowlege of what they already know.
