You don't have to make a completely new entry each time. Just edit one of the failed entries so that it no longer breaks the rules.

If you want this entry to make it into the edited guide, it's going to need some work - have a browse through some guide entries that have been edited to see what sort of standard we're after.

Should we consider moving this thread back to the entry?

I'd second that. It is almost 2 months since the authr last posted (on June 14th).

Author posted yesterday, but clearly no work is being done, so what's the situation? Can we still get it moved, or not?

He posted, but not on h2g2, it was another DNA board. Between that and the fact that this entry isn't appropriate for Peer Review anyway, I would go ahead and move it back to the entry.
