There's a phone box within 6 minutes walk!

Ming Mang Posted Aug 24, 2002
No, it merely watches me... as does the other, which is seven minutes walk away...
And there are plenty of places with tumbleweed.

Chris Tonks Posted Aug 26, 2002
Sorry! Y'know, it's not the quantity of tumbleweed that counts, Ming, it's the quality. There's a very special type of tumbleweed that tumbles only in conversation that I have left stagnant.
I'm sure I didn't have a law passed that stopped phone boxes from looking at you.

I'm never in any trouble worth worrying about. Nor, in point of fact, am I a boy.
In Derbyshire, Ming. *smirks*
Anyway, I have my nice Defcon alarm.
(and did I mention the 15" screen? the fact that the laptop has a desktop rather than a laptop processor? the 266MHz ram ((256mb))? the Radeon Mobility M6 (32mb ddr ram)? dvd drive? cdrw? built in ethernet and 56k modem?... how about the fact that I didn't pay for it? )

Ming Mang Posted Aug 29, 2002
Derbyshire, eh?
*makes note to look in old forums if they're back to see if he's mentioned it before*
Defcom eh?
*makes note to attempt whilst there's someone in the house*
*and also figure out how alarms work anyway*
No, you didn't mention any of that...
*advances on njan holding the largest blunt object that was nearest - a thesaurus*

njan (afh) Posted Aug 30, 2002
yes, Derbyshire. *smirks again*.
Actually, it isn't THAT hard to find out where I live, my name, or my address is. (I've even published my address online, somewhere). If you can follow the paper trail, there's actually a lot of information about me online. You just have to know where to look and be good at investigation. (of course, there may also be spurious data out there. I never said I was going to make it easy. )
Defcon. .. go to google and do a search for defcon +laptop and the first link is a sales page for the defcon system.
.. my laptop's currently in the hands of the courier company and is arriving tuesday. *has windows 2000 cd ready to wipe xp home edition off the machine*
*wields.. a german to english dictionary*

Those things can be evil if wielded forcefully!
I know what you mean with the address... All my details are online somewhere too. Anyone with a little knowledge about the Web can find them.
Questions and queries...
Ming Mang Posted Aug 30, 2002
None of my details are online. Unless you know whose old e-mails to look in... I'm just paranoid.
*gets her big Chambers dictionary as well*

Chris Tonks Posted Aug 30, 2002
I doubt we can get to other people's e-mails. Well, I can't anyway...
Njan, you'd better look out for that. It is a /big/ dictionary.

njan (afh) Posted Aug 31, 2002
