Followed by the ridicule, one of the nastiest posts I've seen on h2g2.

If someone called me on it..I would unhesitatingly apologise fullsomely as something extremely mean spirited....but that's just me.

I'm still quite shocked by reading this thread but I suppose we all have different sensibilities.

But I think it should serve as a reminder to our community going forward to consider these issues should something similar arise.

I hope I would feel strong enough in my own confidence to stand up against such behaviour even if others decided to all be part of a group with a kind of unpleasant attitude to one human being.

Fluffy is strong enough to stand up, I join them.

Might not make me popular..but I'd feel good to do what I considered the ethical thing.

I think Fluffy has done a good service by highlighting this..especially as there is this idea that we should let someone rest in peace..and not force ourselves to face uncomfortable things, that we would rather sweep under the mat.

Nothing was swept under the mat .. EVERYBODY knew this was happening, all except you and Fluffy, of course.

You have no idea how much people were working to get this stopped.

All you are doing is upsetting those who tried to help him.

Does anyone have a clue why my last post was censored?

It was meant as a really friendly sudden realisation of something and full of laughter...and given what's gone on..you'd think a censor must be a very strange species not to really celebrate it.
