Haven't read Mina's Entry yet - are all her plants yellow?
Unfortunately LLB (Amaranthus caudatus) is crimson.

If I were a plant breeder, I would really, *really* like to bring out a variety of that plant called 'Edward II'

Thanks Z! I really wasn't sure what reception it would get, so I'm pleased with the postive comments from everyone.
If that plant is blood red then I'll make an exception and add it as well - especially as yes, the red hot pokers are red for a while too. I'll have to go and look it up though, as I'm not sure if I've seen it before.

I think we're all very liberal on a Sunday afternoon (or pervy, or both). In actuality, I suspect certain references might have to be trimmed down and left implicit. I don't think the BBC would be very happy with explanations of what a golden shower is.
