I notice the word "Gothic" doesn't actually appear until point 13... It might be nice to mention the derivation of "Goth" near the start...

Sorry, Goth - Gothic; Gothic as in "in the style of" or as "with the traits of a Goth"? See
"-ic, 1. a suffix forming adjectives from other parts of speech, occurring originally in Greek and Latin loanwords (metallic; poetic; archaic; public) and, on this model, used as an adjective-forming suffix with the particular senses "having some characteristics of ' (opposed to the simple attributive use of the base noun) (balletic; sophomoric); "in the style of ' (Byronic; Miltonic); "pertaining to a family of peoples or languages' (Finnic; Semitic; Turkic). (...)"
Is it neccessary to explain the derivation? Seemed obvious to me

Seemed obvious to me too, because I already knew it... However, the point I was making was that it might not be obvious to someone who had never come across the term "Gothic" - these articles should stand on their own, with a minimum of additional research required.

Arrrg!
Ok, I have been called the second most pedantic person in the known universe (by the most pedantic person). Seems I got degraded to third place.
Would para 1 now be satisfying to thee?
