Very tasty sounding.
I actually only have one comment, and it's a worthless one:
>>approximately 19 minutes and 23 seconds<<
That seems more like an exact amount of time and not approximate.

I like this Perhaps you could encourage an h2g2 inter galactic cookery book on here all Edited Entries of course. I wonder if you could take a photo on making it nd submit it. How about others try to mak it and if they say they get confused find out where.

Probably better to say, '...for approximately 20 minutes'In this author's case, perfection is achieved in 19 minutes and 23 seconds. Best served warm and fresh!

PS The exact time for cooking anything depends on the type of oven you have. I keep forgetting that ours is a fan oven where cooking times are significantly shorter.
I cooked a herds pie this week where the recipe said, 'Bake at.... for 25 to 30 minutes'.
Mrs BA had something baking at the same time, which still had 20 minutes to go. So I put my pie in and I was going to set the time for an extra 5 minutes once Mrs BA's concoction had been removed. However, when I looked at it after the 20', it was already ready. . I commented on this to Mrs BA and she said it's 'coz we have a fan oven.

20 minutes *is* approximately 19 minutes 23 seconds
I'll have to make them again to test the amount of brown sugar, forgot to weigh it and just approximated how much went in...

Hi Mal, I don't get this bit, have you missed something out?
"soft brown sugar - about 150g or ¾"
Three quarters of what?
(Oh, and don't do a Saarflaab entry before the end of the month, please! )

They sound decadent and delicious, but I have to ask if only to be absolutely certain of the measurements.
The yeast dough contains 2.5 cups of flour, and a little volume from 2 tablespoons of sugar, the packet of yeast, salt, egg, cooking oil, and an unspecified amount of milk.
(I'd really like some approximation there. Some of us might go overboard before they realise what they've done, or try to get by with far too little. It's nice to know what a minimum might look like, and how much to be sure one has in the house before they start mixing!)
Then the nutty filling contains 2.5 cups of ground hazelnuts and soft brown sugar, with a little volume from the butter, cinnamon, and rum.
Do you really use as much filling as dough?!

Well, no, because the dough will have risen before you roll it out, and there is liquid in the dough, too. The mass will be much higher, the volume somewhat higher. Hard to compare without saying what we're using as a basis for comparison.
However, I cook by weight, and the conversion to cups was made using online tables that may or may not be accurate.

This is intriguing - my neighbor cooks and bakes using weights too, which makes perfect sense since you would get more uniform results. I would guess that conversion tables, if they are correct, would be made at standard temperature and pressure as well as some standard humidity.
If I understand you correctly, you'll do the conversion on paper, and then test it with a batch? If so, you will be doing your readers a great favor - and especially your family and friends if it results in several batches

Hmm, I used exactly the measurements in the entry today and found them correctly converted, but the buns were too sweet - so I must've mis-estimated the sugar that goes in the filling. Will reduce it But the rest worked, and I did measure the milk.
