Back Ground colors

I really want something that will load a page in the goo format. Or faailing that one that will change the backgound color to #000066. Pages are so much easier to design in goo or alabasta, but not both. Light colors can bee seen in goo but immpossible to read in ala. And dark colors in ala are hard to read in goo.
Being able to set a background to being the dark blue would mean that I can make my site (the h2g2 astronomy society is the page I'm conserned with as it has many users) more colorful without loosing the alabasta users. I am conserned because if this isn't possible I will ave to only use the standard black/white auto color which will be most dull.
Can anyone help? I'm not trying to descriminate against alabasts users but want to make an interesting readable site.
Nick

Have a look in both skins and you'll see what I mean.

There was some talk a while ago about making a GuideML font colour tag that would allow colour settings to suit all skins & I suppose it's still on the To Do list somewhere - in the meantime the html FONT COLOR is available though it isn't officially supported.
This is because it is so hard to get colours which display correctly in both current skins (rumours abound of a 3rd skin coming) - as can be seen from the "Click here" link which is visible in Goo on your Astronomy page at the end of the invisible "If you can read this you are in Alabasta. These pages were designed for Goo, to convert " sentence

It would be good, I hope they implement something like that. ANd a 3rd skin. Ooh.
I thought that an invsible message would be best to say that it is best viewed in goo.
Thanks for you help

Yes, I reckon tags like and etc. would work nicely to make it possible to change content of pages based on the current skin.

What I think would be good would be something like having the attributes of tags prefixed with a letter/abbreviation so that colours, etc. can be given for each skin. eg
Alternatively, just have tags like and . The main problem I can see with the / suggestion is that those sorts of tags could be used to change the content based on skin, which is not desired. (Like you could write your entire page within tags except a bit saying to switch to goo)

you could also put a table for your whole page and have the background color for that be the color for the bluk of your site, for the part that is written by you at least.
