The TRAGEDY!!!

Poetry woman loses her beam AGAIN!!! And then gets knocked off her feet by one of her OWN team!!!

She drags herself up, inspects her cuts and bruises and then (once again) runs for the poetry beam, but THIS time, throws the shield of dissonance at NYC, with deadly accuracy.

Poetry Woman

*The incredible force from the dissonance shield knocks NYC clear off his feet and onto the ground a few yards away*

OOF! *THUD*

*Ahh! But NYC has another trick up his sleeve: Before the dissonance shield returns to Poetry Woman, NYC grabs it as best he can. Soon, he finds himself sailing at a very surprised-looking Poetry Woman mighty fast...*

.....eeeeEEEEE *WHAM* owwww....

*BLAM!*

From an oddly lying group of shadows Maestus fires a shot. The bullet gouges through the shield and ricochets off the opposite wall. The shield swerves off course, narrowly missing Poetry Woman's arm, and with a loud *BUNG!* sticks into the wall at an angle. The groove where it was hit by the bullet smokes heavily for a few seconds, then cools into a charred black mark.

Poetry Woman didn't quite expect THIS!!! Her shield and a villain heading STRAIGHT for her at high speed. She weaves, she twists, she tries evasive maneouvers, but that shield is like a heat-seeking missile, and so it CRASHES!!!!! leaving a big heap of NYC and poetry.

Poetry woman is knocked out cold. With a big bump on her head too.

*NYC isn't much better. The two stay piled in a heap, unconscious, while sea saunters over and picks up the poetry beam*

Woah! Bi-double-simulpost! Now that IS wierd!

[sea] heh heh heh....

*sea twirls the poetry beam like an old-fashioned gunslinger, then remembers maestus. she pulls out her .380 and whirls around to face him*

too many of us on at once! brain... exploding... SPLAT!

The shadows slicker and dissapear. Maestus isn't there. But the discomfiting feeling in the air grows suddenly, becoming almost tangible now.

Poetry Woman moans and opens an eye. She sees NYC squishing her, but seems to be having a bout of amnesia.

"Uh *groan* Who are you?"

*sea looks around uneasily. convinced that maestus will appear directly behind her the second she stops expecting him, she turns in a circle a few times and settles upon backing herself into a wall, weapons ready*

*NYC notices he's lieing on top of Poetry Woman, who looks like she isn't having a very good day. He rolls off her and onto the floor*

[Poetry Woman] Who are you?

[NYC] Who am I?! umm... uhh... a superhero! (that's it!) I'm on your side!

*sea, still searching the room for rogue shadows, looks at SMoB curiously*

[sea] uh, yeah... me too... rriigghhtt...

says the air, barely supporting itself from imploding into nothingness. The shadows tense and willow, before giving up and vanishing.

After a few very unhappy moments, the feeling fades into the background.

Maestus reaches over sea's shoulder and gently takes her gun from her hand. Sea finds that she is no longer against the wall. She wasn't in the first place. Except that she was...wasn't she? Surely she was. Wasn't...no. It's not certain. Maestus smiles.
