...it's not so easy for me to make meets. It's a heck of a trek then I'm reliant upon a place to crash, as I can't afford hotels.

Then there's care of my son to organize, it can be an organistical nightmare.

This was my first meet in 2½ years, and I don't know when I'll be able to attend again.

Although there's an open invitation for my neck of the woods, if anyone wants a mini-meet I'm always up for that. I have a spare bedroom and I love to cook. Currently I'm unavailable 17th August and 30th August as Mina has already grabbed those dates.smiley - loveblush

The kettle is always on for anyone passing through, attending kite festivals, etc.

In the washing machinesmiley - smiley

Usually at 40'C but given yours has a transfer on I would do it on the 'hand wash' cycle to be safe smiley - ok

Post 90

Dr E Vibenstein (You know it is, it really is.)

No, just go for the hottest cycle possible, and if it melts you can buy another one from the shop. smiley - evilgrin

According to the label on that one, 40 degrees. Being a single bloke I don't recognise the other symbols, but it looks like you can't tumble dry them.

I was, of course, going to say you wash them in tea, but thought better of itsmiley - smileysmiley - tea

2legs shirt doesn't have a transfer, it's proper printed stuff. None of your tat 'round here!

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Hmm.... I only ever used one cycle and two temps on my washing machine, smiley - erm think I'll play safe and just hand wash it, I've a couple of other white type and delicate items that probably could do with a hand wash too smiley - blushsmiley - evilgrin

Post 94

I knew it wasn't really a 'transfer' as such but even printed stuff could run or fade (cup half empty, me) so I tend to be overly cautious.

Have you not got a hand wash cycle/temp 2legs?

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Probably... its got hundreeds of settings... no one knows what they are though... a bit like all the controls on the cooker, they don't have words saying waht they are, but funny little pics that make sense to no one ... espeialcly when there isn't a manual any more smiley - biggrin I'm a dab hand at hand washing though and its useually quicker than a cycle of the washing machine smiley - coolsmiley - run

Actually... That is one of the worsest faces of Microsoft world domination; the 'iconisation' (if thats the right word) of everything.... why have a simple description E.G., 'grill' 'oven' etc.... when a fancy graphic will confusse everyone smiley - huhsmiley - biggrin

Drinking against terrorism.

Post 98

Number Six

Surely the fact that washing machines have various settings is immaterial - the thing to do is chuck it all in a 40 degrees no matter what! Although speaking as an occasional smiley - mod, I do do my ironing...

Post 99

To be absolutely pedantic, Six, if you chuck certain girlie items in at 40'C you may find you need to buy some more (for a disgruntled girlie!)

Also, my washer shrinks things on 40'C Cotton (even if they ARE cotton) so I have to put it on 40'C 'Slightly less hardy fabric' (or words to that effect).

OK, too much laundry talk smiley - run
