A Conversation for Mornington Crescent - the Game

I'm just doing an entry on Camden Town tube station and I need an entry on Mornington Crescent to reference to... come on someone, help!
I'd do it myself, but I've only heard it played once on the radio and haven't quite got my head around it.

Give them some grace. It's a complicated and historically evolved artform of a game.

What *is* wrong with Walter Matthau? Apart from being dead, that is.

Ahh this reminds me of possily the cruelest practical joke I have ever played. My Aunt brought her polish boyfriend home for Christmas, and my Dad and I suggested we played Mornington Cresent on the grounds that 'come on we'll do a couple of rounds and you'll get the idea'
That was bad wasn't it?

OK Z, over to you. How *do* you play Mornington Crescent? And will you be giving the full details of all the variations in your forthcoming guide entry?

Er, it's difficult to explain, but pretty easy to pick up, shall I begin?

Yes, it has lots of slightly shady electrical retailers and Italian students hanging around. Next.

Great place to find a multi-region DVD player, and buy anything electrical without having to pay the VAT... as long as you're exporting it of course Saw John Martyn play The Dominion TCR once. Has Centre Point at one end and Euston Tower at the other. There's an ancient English law that forbids anyone from explaining why it's called Tottenham Court Road.
I made that last bit up

Sorry to interrupt, but I've dropped something into Peer Review (A3737838). I'm prepared for endless comments and complaints about this one, but hopefully 'something' (my Entry or otherwise) will get into the Guide for Number Six to link to!
