h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This entry contains one of the undeniable truths of the universe, and therefore would be a good addition to the edited guide.

In the same fashion as some of the economy ice creams available these days in the ever raging Supermarket Wars this entry seems to lack substance and makes you wonder what just happened. Something of a one-liner with a lot of build-up around it, it might be better to present the line, where it came from and then provide a little objective thought on what it means. The entry seems to contain a lot of superfluous language that, if removed, would leave very little left - but what would remain could be a decent Entry.

Mmmm....it kinda doesn't have much relevance to everyone else as it is - to the people who know the people discussed (or who were actually THERE at the saying of the statement) I'm sure it's fantastic - but to anyone else it's baffling....well, not baffling (I'm sure that's spelt wrong) but...weird....I dunno!

It's a good statement though...

I'm afraid I have to agree oldpinkdog, it's a neat statement, but as far as material goes it doesn't really qualify as a Guide entry.

I think maybe with an editorial pass, it *could* be a Guide entry. But the first thing I'd change, is the title. "The Tao of Ice Cream" would be more descriptive.
