It's probably gone horribly bad by now, though, so I wouldn't dare try any more...
I mean, unless spoiled egg nog is your thing...

Um...
Hullo
*pours himself a and wonders how his guests are doing and where they may have trodded off to since he went on his journey through the Misty Mountains*

A drink sounds like a good idea, thank you. I have been hiking all over the campsite, this place has really grown. My tent is on pitch 24 if you ever want to drop by.
I understand about the memory lapse. I vaguely remember a Mardi Gras parade. In a couple of weeks it might come back to me. Of course it might not...

Well, thanks for the invite and remember that you're more than welcome to stop by here anytime you'd like

Now where did he go? I seem to have lost a lot of people this week.

Sorry for the silence. I've been busy and also a bit anti-social on h2g2 in general as of late while at the same time completely nostalgic of last summer when I was the toast of the town and didn't have to deal with so much work and thesis reading and essay writing and chemistry projects and so on and so forth...
How're things going with you?

Hi there
I see you are back from your walk. Sounds like you have had a lot of studying and coursework to deal with. Would you like a or a to wash that down? Maybe some would help?

Last weekend was not one of my better weekends. I would feel guilty about boring you to tears with the details. I hope yours was better. If not, I am so sorry. Nothing new except the computer at work actually functioned properly for two days in a row... and counting.
How about you, what are you studying?

Well, at the moment I'm trying to write an introduction to this essay that is going to suck even though I'll probably end up having some fun with it and writing in an incredibly cynical manner
And then there are these exponential graphs...but I won't be so cruel as to bore you with the details about them

*takes as long a sip as he can from the *
Sorry I'm not exactly as talkative as I'd like to be, I'm just trying to finish up all this stuff so I might be able to get a few hours of sleep this morning before I have to wake up...

I used to get the worst writer's block when trying to begin any paper. Found that writing the conclusion first and backtracking was actually easier for me. sounds sad, but it really worked. Incredibly cynical, there is a word for that here.
I have no idea what an exponential graph is, sorry. You are welcome to try to explain...

Compounded interest is a good example of exponential growth in an exponential function...
And so on and so forth...
But, what type of host am I who doesn't offer anything to good company?
What can I get you??

You wouldn't by chance have any chocolate hanging around here would you?
Exponential growth in an exponential function too many numbers for me. Both of my brothers have accounting degrees. One of them took chemical engineering classes for a few years then changed his major. I draw and make stuff in my spare time. Every now and then I get the feeling someone was adopted...
