Not sure why you keep getting asked to enter your details, but once you are up and running it's quite easy to find your way around.
The easiest thing to do would be to add the home page as a Favourite on your browser. Remember all the conversations will be listed at the bottom of the home page.
If you click on "My Space" (along the top) a handy page appears where you can write a little about yourself and you will also be able to view all the conversations you have posted to.
May I suggest that you click on "Preferences" (also at the top) button and change the viewing style to Alabaster, its the easiest to navigate around the page with.
We'll call this an experiment for the time being. If people dont really like the page then we can try an other option?
Remember you can add your own thread as well as replying on this one.

Hi
I'm Peta, I'm part of the Central Community Team.
I'm afraid it's not possible for members of one area to take up lodgings in another area in this way.
If you'd like to join the h2g2 community and participate in writing the Earth Edition of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy you'd be more than welcome, but it isn't possible for you to run another Sportdaq board in this space.
Hello and welcome

Hi Peta,
I use h2g2 on a daily basis. Love the site.
Why can't Sportdaq have a club on the site? There are hundreds of other clubs and societies.
The people coming over to use this MB will start to use other areas of h2g2 once they get settled. Who knows, I'm sure some might even write Guide Entries.
I don't see why a Sportdaq conversation should not be allowed when other mindless drivel like the Campaign to Rename Thursday "Thing" is allowed?!
Not that I dislike the Thingites, I find their cause very entertaining.

Hello all,
I'm the Producer of h2g2 - welcome.
As Peta explained, we'd be delighted if you wanted to join in on helping us expand the Edited Guide...or just chat about things of course! (Or even about Thing...)
And it's certainly not our intention to deprive you of a 'nice warm home' as you put it.
It's just that, we feel we have to stress, as is the case with all Communities, there are rules and it's not that we don't think you'll abide by them, it's just that h2g2 is reactively moderated and so the types of discussion we can hold here are very different.
As we are not post-moderated, then we have to be extremely cautious about any postings that may be libellous or defamatory. As it's in the nature of Sportdaq and Celebdaq to anticipate what may be very sensitive issues in the news, we can't allow the setting up of a similar area in here to discuss these matters, however much we'd like to.
If we were to change our policy on this, we might have to switch the whole site to post-moderation or even pre-moderation - something that the users of our site fought against for for a very long time - this would change the nature of h2g2 totally. It wouldn't be fair on our wider h2g2 Community.
So - as I say - welcome, but please respect our wishes and do not set up another board of this type in this area.
Thanks,
Natalie
