It seems that as long as we keep certain ground rules going it shouldn't be a problem. Perhaps Jimster can come into this thread to see if this idea works.

What I propose are the following rules:

1. Only Edited Guide entries (and possibly underguide and The Post) are valid hiding places. No groups, nobody's PS. Just actual Guide entries. I know when I hide Jack I just go to the main page and keep hitting the Infinite Improbability Drive until I find an entry I can reasonably give clues to.

2. Always post a link to the hunt *and* a brief explanation. Maybe something like "if you'd like to learn more, or play the game go to A3671921 to learn the rules and follow the clues."

Any hiding places that don't follow these two simple rules are invalid.

Also I'm working on an idea for prizes that *do* benefit cancer research and assistance. I bought a 10 pack of LiveStrong bands (that I keep forgetting to send off) and can buy more for winnes. Every bit of that goes to The Lance Armstrong Foundation (especially since I get the bands directly from the foundation to ensure they are genuine).

Along that line I'll be volunteering at a function for the American Cancer Society at at one of the main campuses of my employer. They do a relay race to raise money for cancer research and education and they have a Survivor's Lap that I'll be doing. Jack - I fully expect you to join me in one of these one day.

All good ideas

However - I am still pretty new, I have no idea what "Edited" means, well obviously I know what the actual word means, I don't however know what it relates to on this site, also when I have hidden Jack I have hidden him in my friends PS and in our Group! I have explained what I’m doing and have been able to get several of my friends involved in the game! If we only post in places that nobody sees then how will we get new peeps involved?

As long as we get permission from the people involved there shouldn't be a problem

won't asking permission leave open a subscribed conversation on the hider's space? making finding jack fairly easy and slow the game down whilst waiting for permission?

we don't really have a lot of choice


But you could now be asking permission on places you would like to hide jack while we are waiting for the next clue so that'll you'll have a stock when it's your turn
