h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'll be wearing my h2g2 t-shirt on the 5th (and possibly on the 12th), and now that I've finally gotten my photo album updated, there's pictures of me at http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/amy_p1/album?.dir=/5c36 (lots more of Faith, but oh, well)

I will recognize Amy by the adorable youngster leashed to her, and march right up and say. "Hi, I'm Mikey!"

Of course, it helps that you and I have the only 'normal' names

There used to be pictures of me online from the Summer '02 meetup, but they seem to have vanished in the ether!

Ginger has met me by now, and Amy and Mikey have seen pictures of me in the past, I think. I guess Ginger and Amy and Faith and I will all be arriving in some sort of carpool or caravan from the airport. I drive an unmistakable white van with the words "Dillon Cat" painted on in red letters. Is everyone else meeting us at Wilf's, or is that the plan?

Yes, I remember seeing a photo, but it was quite a while ago...

Friday afternoon: 18th, I am going over to Wilf's Saturday afternoon to see how things look for gathering....As I remember it ,it was of a good size, and a very comfortable place[I like comfortable] so I am hoping to stake out a spot "just for us"...and talk to staff. and report back tomorrow nite....It also has a piano bar at nite....Lots of parking across the "street" ...Meters....Wilf's is at one end of the train depot building....very picturesque building with a tall clock tower...Right next to the Broadway bridge...and 1[one] block away is the bus depot..[not picturesque.,but new]...where Amy will head for at about 6 o'clock.....I am medium most everything....height,weight,looks,brown hair/pony tail.., age=rare=no, maybe we should say if truth be told ,..well done...but what woman past 25 will be truthfull about age....I figure it's all in the mind......... ..I will be coming from airport bringing Amy & Faith... I will carry a poster from the "Hitchhiker Movie" that I will flash....."and so it goes"....More tomarrow.........

WILF'S update.....GT just called me, with the news that Wilf's does not open 'til 5PM on Saturday.....
I am thinking people would want to be able to begin to gather earlier????? Amy will be there around 4 or a bit earlier......?? So I am meeting GT in a couple of hours..[at Wilf's] and we are going to walk around that area and see what we can find....I'm sure there are some nice little coffee houses and Small dinning spots.....But we do need a litle space of our own.....Get back to you latter............ .. ..

Nightly Report....Sat.....
** It was a beatiful day today & GT called me about 11AM about walking around the bus depot area..to look for a place....The old Eco Trust Building...at 721 N.W. 9th...about 5 blocks from depot.....quiet part of town, not a lot of trafic....I think it fits the bill, if we want to move on to Wilf's ,it's walking distance..or a block away is a trolly to up town....GT will come up with directions.....It is a nice place to hang out....Hot Lips Pizza. all organic......and across the hall is World Cup coffee & tea...they have some big soft overstuffed chairs and tables.If someone gets there early you can really relax.....and tables outside if nice weather, like today....If you are real early and it is a nice day get you coffee/tea & there is a neat little park catty corner....across the street...No one playing Bocci today,tho..........
It is very neat & calm & golden....Looks like Spain, but not Antonio Goudi[excuse spelling]
** As March 5th approches I will give weather updates...But as we say here....If you don't like the weather,just wait an hour........
