More ice cream!

Post 21

I'm not really here

In that case I'll have a garlic ice-cream with extra beer flavoured calories, and better put a strawberry on top please as they stop cholestorel forming in the arteries. And then I'll have to go and have a lie down while I wait for this ice cream headache to go away. smiley - sadface

It could be a major selling point. You could then team up with the sweet shop, and do an offer like 'buy a garlic ice cream, get a packet of polos half price'. The point that eating mints after garlic doesn't really mask the smell (or taste) will have to be glossed over... smiley - smiley

That's an excellent idea, Justin. Sorry Mina, the garlic ice cream isn't ready yet, but it shouldn't be long.

if you prepare garlic correctly, garlic breath is minimised - all the taste, none of the aftertaste
thanks EV

Is that garlic ice cream ready yet? I don't know, you just can't get the staff...

And the thing about garlic breath is, if you eat it, you can't smell it. So just serve it to everyone from now on. Ideal.

The Isle of Wight has quite a Garlic Industry, you know. Makes more Garlic than Northern France, and celebrates with a Garlic Festival weekend. Believe me, if you can think of a type of food, they have it there. Garlic Honey, Garlic ice-cream, garlic beer etc...

Do you get many visitors? smiley - bigeyes

Yep, it's quite popular. You can't go anywhere near the place when the festival's on - people come from miles around to see the garlic - it's crazy.
I used to work over the road in the largest tomato farm outside Spain, and even cycling to and from there was impossible because of the queues and diversions.

I'm glad I'm not the only freak who had been looking forward to a garlic ice cream. We could all team up and help Buffy if we eat enough.

I didn't know that garlic was "made". I thought it was grown.

But anyway, any news on the ice cream? I've had a stressful day and I can't get up the pub for nearly 2 hours! I need something to keep me going.

Sorry, Ændr threw it over someone in the park who was trying to feed beef curry to the geese. It's awfully complicated, this park, isn't it?

Can I have some garlic bread please? (yeah, I know I had some for lunch, but I'm hungry, and this place seems to only sell garlic products even though it is sposed to be an icecream van) Harumph. smiley - sadface

Although I don't think there are any garlic products actually available yet - unless they've been delivered. So you're stuck with ice cream for the time being... smiley - tongueout

Yes, don't worry, when the garlic products arrive I'll be sure to let you know.
Actually, I won't have to let you know, you'll smell it a mile away. smiley - smiley

Now then, who wanted the garlic ice cream?

ME! I managed to get down the pub but had to spend the evening drinking mineral water as I was voted "most likely to be able to get 7 people in her vehicle" so I had to drive. smiley - sadface
So I need something to cheer me up.
I'll have a garlic suprise please.

That's bad luck, did you manage to get 7 people in the vehicle in the end?
*hands over a chocolate ice cream with a clove of garlic hidden in it*
Garlic doesn't come much more surprising than that. smiley - smiley

Oh, thank you, nice touch with the clove smiley - smiley

In the end I only needed to get 6 in, and as I have an espace I managed to get them all in quite nicely. Funny how most of them walked up but needed a lift home. Anyway, I suppose I should go swimming, as I 've been here for a few days and haven't been in for a dip yet. Unless there is a jacuzzi here? I haven't had a proper look around. It's not natural to look away from ice-creams.
