Within the Borg Collective, there are no individuals. All assimilated individuals become part of the collective consciousness – part of the hive mind. Therefore, the majority of Borg drones have a numerical designation, such as “Third of Five”. However, in some cases, individuality is not completely erased. The vrews of both the USS Enterprise and the USS Voyager have encountered both drones and former drones who have either retained or rediscovered a sense of individuality.
