I always find it funny how games always use roughly the same ideas as others, and how new material only appears very rarely. In the last paragraph, you mention:
dual-wielding - this was used to a limited extent in Unreal Tournament.
the ability to hijack vehicles - this sounds very much like Battlezone, UT 2004 and Starseige Tribes.
playing as a second rate character for half the time - just like in Metal Gear Solid 2...
