Car sharing?

Post 1

I'm not really here

Anyone fancy car sharing up to this fabulous event?

I'll be driving round the Essex bit of the M25 and then mostly up the M1 by the look of it (detours to collect people no problem). Leaving Saturday morning for a sort of lunchtime arrival (get the kettle on KA, or at least warm me a seat in the pub) and hoping to be back in Essex at some point on Sunday.

Mina- it'd be good if you could make it around 1200, that gives us time to a) find somewhere for you to park (which might end up being the Derby Turn carpark, but that's only 2 minutes from the house), and b) get to the Cooper's for around 1230.

B, you can turn up when you like, you already know where you're going smiley - tongueout.

Number Six

It sounds like a good idea to me, although again of course with the proviso that if Radio London offer me a game I'm going to have to cancel!

I was wondering if we'd get to Burton in time for me to get Derby for the football at 3pm, but this all sounds very good - might even be time fora quick one before I head off to Pride Park smiley - cheers

Plus of course the Cooper's is only just round the corner from Burton station, and the football ground is only five minutes from Derby station. There's around 5 trains an hour between Derby and Burton, so you're unlikely to have long to wait.

Cheers KA, I wasn't sure what time to get there, but aiming for 12 seems about right. smiley - biggrin

What's your email address these days? I'll drop you a line with directions. Anyone else planning on arriving at mine before pub time will also need them (except B, assuming he isn't suffering from goldfish memory smiley - winkeye)

I don't want to put my 'real' email address online, but I can give you my 'msn' email address to add me to MSN so I can then give you my address if that's ok? Unfortunately a bit of the email address breaks the house rules smiley - blush so you'll have to use your imagination for a bit of it.

It's dontlettheb@st@[email protected]

If you haven't got MSN then it could be interesting!

Err, I haven't smiley - laugh

And I can't put *my* addy onsite, because the only functioning one I've got is my work one.

Tell you what, if you've got FM's email address, mail him and ask him to send you my work address. It's probably excessive buggering about, but ut'll work.

You're coming from Cambridge, right?

Burton is between Derby and Birmingham- you should be able to do Cambridge->Birmingham New Street->Burton-on-Trent.

BTW: I shall be driving down from Nottingham in the morning, if anyone wants a lift. Seeing that it'll be in a Skoda, I shall be providing blankets for people to drape over their heads on entering and leaving the car.

Tch, driving from Nottingham. When there's at least five trains an hour. Actually, the route was from memory smiley - blush, although I hasten to add that I looked up the times.
I'll email you with directions to the house, for car-dumping purposes.
