I'm just updating the final tables. It looks like it's going to be a thrilling finale.

The Championship, at the quarter-way stage of the update, is wide open. There's a new leader, and a new team at the bottom.

In the ProPhortyPhifty, the bookies are already paying out on the winner, and the contest for third looks to be the only point of interest.

More as we have it.

Unbelievably, at the halfway stage of the final update of the season, a third team has come into realistic contention at the top. I'm rather excited.

Ah well, at least I've defended my title in one of the competitions... smiley - smiley Sounds like it's pretty close though - bit like Division 1 this year, really. smiley - ok

Six Counties to go now. There is barely a fag paper between the two leaders in the Championship. And - sensationally - in the ProPhortyPhifty. The bookies are looking nervous.

I tell you what - it's incredibly exciting, particularly as I'm basically just typing numbers into a spreadsheet.

Who is going to make the big century or take the five-fer to seal the titles?

No. But you're no going to finish bottom of anything. How does it feel?

Two Counties to go. Eight runs separate the top two.

Given that cricket is a mystery and football really *shouldn't* be, what do you think? smiley - rofl

We have a winner. I'm just re-checking the top two in each, because it's very close. And to keep you waiting a bit longer.

Might have a wee, then get a beer.

In the end, it was astonishingly close, but the Over and Outs clung on to top spot in both leagues to do the double for the second successive season.

A wonderful start from Organcheese took them about AndyG's side for long period and, although the Green and Golds briefly threatened, it was a two horse race from the beginning. The Over and Outs dug in, though, and James Foster's 122 in the final game was just enough to see them over the line. And in the ProPhortyPhifty, the Down and Unders also overhauled the eventual winners, before bottling it and finishing almost 200 points behind. Interestingly, both of the second-placed teams had players who bottled it in this week's games, too.

Creditable thirds go to the Green and Golds and Jules' Kronies.

At the bottom, a great week for Megachedda saw him leap to 10th, leaving Batty Boys rooted firmly to the bottom of the Championship. Egon's Reuben Spiring's Helicopter remained as awful in reality as they looked great on paper.

Season's stats will follow in the next few days or so.

Congratulations, then, to AndyG - once again a worthy winner, but well done as well to everyone who pushed him so close.

I shake a fist of congratulation at MandyG.

And doff my cap to the unhirsute hotelier ... Arthur Perkins.
