It's been a fairly poor week for Frenchbean, with a number of players missing the weekend action due to England call-ups, but the Down and Unders still cling on to top spot by a couple of hundred points. Breathing down her neck now is Alfredo, then a short gap to the rest of the pack. Organcheese could be right on both their heels once the games in progress are included, with some huge scores among their batsmen. At the bottom, Mu Beta is slowly reeling in the rest of the pack after a disastrous start, while Magwitch moves into seventh - seventh! - with the highest score of the week.
In the ProPhortyPhifty, AndyG has fairly blown the opposition away and has opened up the sort of lead we'd expect from his form last year. Despite the fact that his skipper has still not arrived, his side are looking strong, and Dippenaar seems to be finding his feet ominously quickly. The bottom three are unchanged.
You might notice a few of the ups and downs are out of kilter; this is a result of me not checking that Cricinfo had updated everything before I did. It's too complicated to explain, but it also explains why I'm updating so late this week.
All the NZ nominations are in, and only Vettori, McCullum and Oram ended up being shared. A special mention to Megachedda, who rather blew it by picking the recently-retired Stephen Fleming.
Finally, a bit of transfer news, as Chris read has replaced Mark wallace as the Down and Unders' wickie.
