in the past... were counted as a weapon... scots wouldn't go to war unless they were piped in... That's why the English banned them as soon as possible... same thing as kilts...

OK Weapons of Psychological Warfare maybe....I think you'll find the English were quite happy for the Scots to wear kilts and play bagpipes when fighting....as long it was for and not against the English.
