Deep Dark Dungeon
The Corrupt One Started conversation Oct 29, 2004
*You are in the dark. You might be eaten...*
*Oh, wait. A trapdoor opens from above, letting in just enough light to see the silouette of Kalia plummet down into this dungeon. Someone dressed as Nightwing, juggling a couple of books, can be seen peering down from the room above.*
*Kalia looks carefully at the fake book she holds and harrumphs.*
[Kalia] *looking up* Arghhh... I should've seen THAT coming.

Nightwing VO-Aw, dang it!
*Nightwing tosses his books to the side and jumps into the dungeon, landing unhurt*
Nightwing-You okay?
*He pulls out a flashlight and begins shining it around the dungeon, seeing how far it extends, or if anything unusual can be seen*
Deep Dark Dungeon
The Corrupt One Posted Oct 30, 2004
[Kalia] No, I'm not. I hate Feng Shui. *throws book against stone wall*
*The dungeon is rather small and dank; more of a pit, really. Going back up the trapdoor seems a more than futile task, though it seems that Kalia jammed it open. The flashlight half-reveals slimy things lurking in the shadows that no one probably wants to see, and there are no apparent exits, except a drain covered with a rusty, hinged cover in the center that is far too small to escape through.*

Nightwing-Hmm. Well, at least this costume came with realistic gadgets.
*Nightwing reaches into his costume's utility belt, and pulls out what looks like a less-than standard grappling launcher not that, while probably not capable of doing some of the long-distance swinging that the real Nightwing enjoys, looks more than sufficient for the task of escaping from the dungeon. He shoots the grapple through the dungeon roof where it sticks to the library's ceiling. Nightwing tugs the rope experimentally*
Nightwing-So....how much do you weigh?
Deep Dark Dungeon
The Corrupt One Posted Oct 31, 2004
*Kalia tugs the rope experimentally*
[Kalia] More than this rope can handle, I'm afraid.
*She examines the drain. It seems ordinary enough. She opens it up and feels around inside.*
[Kalia] Hey, there's some kinda lever thing in here...
*She pulls said lever. A section of wall slides out.*
[Kalia] Hmm.... still up for that rope, hero-boy?
Deep Dark Dungeon
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 1, 2004
Nightwing-I've got a pretty good feeling that I'll use that rope eventually, even if I'm being sidetracked by another investigation this way. Lead on!

(passes into the dungeon from the ceiling, like a ghost. Apparently, the SOul Edge form his Nightmare costume began to evilly melt through the floor from the Banquet room, and by grabbing on to it, it came with. he lands with a thump on the floor.)
Hello, all... Stuck in another hole in the ground, are we?
Deep Dark Dungeon
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 3, 2004
Nightwing-Nope. I could jump through the hole in the ceiling, and both of us can just walk through this secret passage. Thanks for asking, though.
Deep Dark Dungeon
Redfox Posted Nov 5, 2004
(Leans into the doorway and shouts a *hallooooo* which echoes back after a second. Redfox then say's "I'm all aloooooonnne", to which the echo replies, "No you're noooooot". Redfox jumps back, clutching Soul Edge, and hopes Kalia can clear things up.)
that does not bode well...
Deep Dark Dungeon
The Corrupt One Posted Nov 6, 2004
*strange, loud cackling echoes down the secret passage*
[Kalia] *shivers* There's something down there... *hides behind Red Fox*
Deep Dark Dungeon
Redfox Posted Nov 8, 2004
(peers into the darkness. Although it it's against the rules, his costume transforms into his usual outfit: baggy jeans, a Skull and Cross Bones T-shirt, a leather jacket, and a black Bogart style fedora. he still holds the Soul Edge, tho. The Evil Sword glows with un-holy light now, and it illuminates the secret passage.)
(Something can be heard *gibbering* in the shadows beyond the light...)
We can go or we can hide. I want to see what might be down there...
Deep Dark Dungeon
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 9, 2004
Nightwing-Then we go.
*Creeps into the passage, carefully*
Deep Dark Dungeon
The Corrupt One Posted Nov 10, 2004
*The passage bends and twists a bit, but our adventurers begin to approach a light coming out into the passage. The light comes from an almost-shut door. From the other side of the door is the sound of clanking metal against stone at random intervals. The passage does continue past this door, but I highly doubt a tiny little detour could be hazardous at all... could it?*
[Kalia] *to narrator* Aw, stuff it already.
[Narrator] Nuts. I was starting to have fun.
Deep Dark Dungeon
Redfox Posted Nov 10, 2004
(carefully nudges open the door with the tip of Soul Edge. the beam of light grows wider on the floor, and the doorway reveals...)
Deep Dark Dungeon
The Corrupt One Posted Nov 10, 2004
*In the candlelight, a figure chained to a chair and gagged jumps up and down, trying to either escape or catch attention, not really sure which.*
[prisoner] *notices door open wider, and protests* Mph mmph mmmmmph!
Deep Dark Dungeon
Afgncaap5 Posted Nov 10, 2004
Nightwing-That was either "Help me please", "It's a trap", or "Close the door." I can't tell.
Deep Dark Dungeon
Redfox Posted Nov 11, 2004
I'm going to lean on the side of the obvious and release the poor guy...
(Leans in but does not enter the room, Soul Edge held up with a fully extended arm, and cuts the gag, so that the Prisoner can speak clearly.)
So, Why exactly are you down here?
