1. This is an opinion piece.
2. It only covers part of Christianity, since it doesn't mention the Orthodox church at all.
3. THe author of the piece is of the opinion that each Christian should be entitled to decide for himself or herself which aspects of Christianity to believe. This is certainly the belief of some Christian sects, but is not the attitude of the majority. The majority of churches claim that the clergy are specially equipped to interpret and instruct, and that their interpretation is what makes the church what it is.

This is a very worthy and relevant piece and I am definitely interested in it - I think a lot of people here would be; but you might have submitted it to the wrong forum in its present state.
In Peer Review, articles are written from a sort of balanced encyclopaedic-ish perspective, so personal opinions, irrespective of how worthy they are, tend not to get approved for the guide. The Writing-Guidelines explain a bit more about the types of articles that are appropriate for the Peer Review forum.
An article on the history of Homosexuality within any or all of the major Christian churches certainly would have a great chance of getting through (so long of course as there is not an article already here)! Its just that controversial articles where a lot depends on your viewpoint or your perspective tend to have a tougher time. Another approach is to present the arguments in a very balanced manner, explaining the issues involved but trying not to take sides either way - sometimes easier said than done, particularly if you feel strongly about something!
There are lots of other review forums here though! The Post or the Underguide will snap up an interesting and well-written article such as this in its present form immediately, I am sure!

I Babs, I agree that this is a worthy and well written piece that would deserve a wider readership, I think it would be great if you could put it into AWW for consideration for the Underguide.

We have no idea what god wants or thinks. Maybe he thinks homosexuality is a bad thing. Maybe not. It's not up to us to judge. If you wanna be gay, fine. That doesn't mean you are a good or bad Christian or a sinner. Religion should not depend on sexuality, science and politics (everytime religion tried to mess with those we ended up soaked in blood). This is MY opinion. I also think that most clergymen (in Europe at least) being educated and learnt people think so too.
As it stands, for reasons pointed out above, I think this piece is not suitable for the EG.
