That might be possible, but some articles do seem to take a little longer to process.

Especially the ones that aren't written in GuideML to begin with.

Actually they aren't bad, the ones that annoy me are the ones written in GuideML where all the tags are written in lowercase letters. Cos we have to go through it and replace them with uppercase letters.

I'm getting out of that habit since I read the subbies guidelines smiley - smiley

For one thing it does make it easier to see the tags, especially with footnotes, bold and italic tags. smiley - smiley

I find that even when I go back to edit them before submission. Even with Caps, they are not always clear

I know, but there is nothing you can do about that.

I've taken to spacing my paragraphs and headers and subheaders out a lot more though to make it slightly easier. Gives a definite bookmark if you spot errors on preview.

I tend to put the and tabs on different lines the the text itself and to each other. This leaves 2 lines between each block of text and it can look a lot less intimidating when you start to juggle bits around.

Certainly less scary than one massive bolock staring you in the face. I do something similar, thoughI usually try to write the text first and then start putting in the tags.

I actually write one section by section. So the bits between subheaders get done before I move to the next section. smiley - smiley

I don't like leaving each bit only half done before moving on. smiley - smiley

I agree that's how I tend to write them as well one paragraph at a time. And you can always move a whole paprgraph around an article with very little tinkering. smiley - smiley
