Thread problems on NTL

About 24 hrs ago I started a thread ("ETI") in the Seti@home section of "Universe". There have now been about two dozen postings to this but I cannot read the first twenty of them, only 21 onwards. Why is this and can I do anything to rectify the situation? I am informed on screen that the site "may be too large" but I am allowed to see part of it, so why not the other part?

Not sure why this is happening, but h2g2 is only realistically usable on a PC and there are issues with WebTV. We do have plans to address this, but it's not going to happen real soon.
You might be able to change the URL to view the Postings you require. The part that says 'skip=xx' denotes where the list starts, so if you edit this to 'skip=0' then you should see the first batch - is this possible on ntl?

No, yo can't do anything like that on NTL, but woodpigeon kindly did it for me and sent me the link. However, it unfortunately still does not work. Been having major problems since, too. I estimate that I'm being given the same message ("content may be too large")about 80% of the time now. I'm being denied entry to other users' pages and more of my own coversations too.
It's all so frustrating and disappointing, I just wish NTL would show some interest.
I guess I'll just have to hang on and hope that h2g2 can do something in the fullness of time.

Not sure there's anything we can do to get round that error - we can't make our pages smaller just like that! 
However the text-only skin which is in development may fix the problems, so let's hope. In the meantime, sorry you're having problems, but we're not sure there's much we can do. Do keep persevering, if you can!

Realistically? Months, not weeks. Depends on the demand, to be honest, and currently PCs are easily in the majority. But it's something we do hope to do, time permitting...
