I'm stuck in the Heart of Gold--I've got the spare Improbability Drive and have connected it to the relevant items (not including those relevant items that make it blow up), but I can't seem to get any farther that that. It's like the game's forward motion stops. At no point am I given the opportunity to acquire a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster or a cup of nectar. Any suggestions?

A hint, preferably...getting the answers for free ruins the fun! But a hint would be appreciated.
