*puts on her chauffeur cap*
Good night, all. Time for me to go get the ballerina.

One feels fortunate to even recognise that it's Sporky
If ecurrency were more firmly established, I would suggest passing the hat to buy the Powers a new hard drive! Or whichever bit it is that keeps crapping out.
*Matina places a tray with green tea, cups and secular brownies on the lip of the butler's hatch* Thank you!
Anybody else besides me and Babel for green tea?
Another person I was wondering about was Valis. He was great fun! -- and then he stopped coming round. I checked his page, him and Ubik, and there was no recent activity.

You speak to Sporky on IM, though. I should get into that more, especially as I have managed to get [url removed by moderator]configured on the PC here at work
Unfortunately, I'm not sure that they even know which bit keeps falling over.
*gets up and brings the tray over, pours two cups for the moment and passes one to Lil. Sips and picks up a brownie*
Mmmm, nice.
Yes I miss Valis too, I also see that Odra has had her ACE badge removed aslo, due to not responding to the email Peta sent out last week. Hope she hasn't blown herself up with her bag of infinite fireworks
Other people I was wondering about were Bahb! I especially miss Unch, though my head doesn't and I am sure Irv can do without the breakages anyway. So many people appear to have just gone away. Still, that's the nature of a site like this.

Sporky, I want to redesign my gallery section and change it into a series of links, one for each artist -- now that there's more than two of us. How you arrange your stuff, on or off h2g2, is up to you. And a 100X100 72 dpi will ice the cake. It can be a logo or a smallerisation or an excerpt, whatever you want. You can just give me the thumbnail's address when it's done....
Same for youse guys.
Just downloaded CuteFTP. 1.6 MB in 54 seconds.

Unbelievable
How the hell are you, Sporky?
*sips tea and pours for Gwen, while Matina brings mandarin tea for the Sporkmeister*
Now you are just making me green with envy, Lil, or is it the tea?

Hmm... I fancy the idea of this page being the center of such exhibits... how about if I give you the source for a pop up gallery?

How do you mean? The phrase is unfamiliar. By the way, I just put Chloe's first painting on the atelier page.
BlackIce has just registered my very first hack, too, a pcAnywhere ping.

Sweet little bot, we give her laundry to do and she gets all aesthetic about it. Amy will like it -- it reminds me of a Rothko.

Can't you sleep Lil? I keep seeing you drop out of the Online window, then suddenly you reappear again. Or is it your superfastconnection
playing silly buggers? Dreaded thought: you might have to actually *gasp* logout of h2g2! Only joking
I am assuming it is about 2am there. (might be wrong, do you put your clocks back an hour as well? I don't know.)

So you do put your clocks back then?
Cos it was 5 hours difference between BST and EST
Now we are GMT (ie BST -1) so....
Confused. But what's new?

*Shuffles into new thread, hastily scribbles name incorrectly on piece of card and leaves it on calling card tray thusly*

Incidently Babel, when I first started with "Big Blue" I was advised not to use Portsmouth as a proxy. Try a different location. It tends to be the default one on new machines, and hence used by more people than necesary. Having said that where I work, Farnborough, used to be dead slow, due to everyone using it to avoid Portsmouth. Six and half a Womble rightly.
