Mini I'd love to see R at the meet!
Tried to befriend the Comet (I think, please correct me if I'm wrong, Sol) but she was a bit too grumpy.
You know it's cold when... you can't blow your nose in your hankie because it's frozen stiff in your jacket pocket.
Looking into a specific Swedish expression 'ända in i kaklet' - 'all the way into the tile' originally thought to stem from a Swedish swimming trainer.
These days, used as an expression for 'doing your utmost and a little bit more'. Sometimes so much that you knock yourself unconscious against the tile.

Watching 'Escape to the country' I think I've spotted an oak tree even older than the oldest living oak tree in Sweden; the Bowthorpe oak, 13 metres in diameter:

What an old beauty! Looks like it's making its way across the pasture.
I just discovered the author Andrea Camilleri, who has written a series of mysteries set in Sicily, following a character called Inspector Montalbano. Originally written in Italian, but the English translation is wonderful. Dry sense of humor. Excellent characterizations. Good plots.

Montalbano and I think there was a young Montalbano too. I didn't watch all of them but they were pretty good.
What time is half time in the super bowl ? I want to see the red hot chilli peppers.

Currently watching the TV series Ironside on Swedish TV. There was a piece of a song towards the end, and a few of the words caught my interest.
'I brought you daffodils in a pretty string'
and found this youtube video:

Apologies for my absence -- I had a sudden high fever on Sunday, and it has taken much of today to regain my usual metabolism.
Karma for the lady across the hall who used to run her teevee all night. They moved her room mate out because the family were complaining about the noise and the cold. Well, first, her television broke over the weekend. And now she has a confused elderly roomie who wails a lot. Bwa-ha-ha-haaaa!

To quote the refrain of a Pet Shop Boys' song:
'What have I, what have I, what have I've done to reserve this?'
I'm into my second week of covering for a colleague who's on vacation, colliding with closing the books for January.
And several systems have decided to go belly-up. Simultaneously.
No statistics available for January for our incentive program.
Invoice printers taking several hours to print out invoices to our customers (two separate printers).
No data in the system we use to e-mail preliminary result reports.
Exporting data from our financial system to our BAT (Business Analysis Tool) ony succeding after the third attempt, previous files got the status 'temp'.
*takes a deep breath*
Matina, a please!
