The only good things that my Aunt gave me was several perms (this was the 70's) One of them was disastrous, mind - she'd bought the blue one (which was very strong) and had to have all my cut off as a result. She never permed my hair again. The last time I did a perm I went to a salon (in the 80's) it was lovely.

Gee, BB, our local seagulls only steal french fries.

I like the way the gull steals the camera first then goes and lands somewhere else before discovering it's not edible.

Typical S**te Hawk behaviour, we used to wind them up by throwing any old rubbish in the air while eating chips (grown up fries).

I had a new experience today. The Windows troubleshooting thingy offered to fix a problem, and then actually did fix it.

Anyways, other than a very good time, we had a rather sufficient amount of drams. By the end count, we tasted 14 whiskies in the course of just about 24 hours

We visited Strathisla and Aberlour - both good visits though I must say that the tasting at Aberlour is brilliant because you get the spirit right off the still (surprisingly rich in fruity tastes already at that point) as well as two that have been in bourbon and sheery casks, respectively, for 16 years. And then the "regular" ones that have been mixed from those two types of casks. Very educating. And nom

Freshers' week isn't until next week here - and we're supposed to call it 'Welcome Week' not 'Freshers' Week' now for some reason...

Welcome week, induction week, freshers week. Whateva!
It still means lots of youngish people all arriving somewhere and trying to settle down and settle in and there will be the usual goings on however they try and dress it up and calm it down.

Then I shall have to make sure I get to the pub early and get a nice table. You heading there for lunch today Phil?
