I think 25th sounds good, will check with relevant parties (the missus) and report back.

I just realized that it's quite deliberating with a thread where 'OT' doesn't exist. We constantly drift from subject to subject, unless someone makes a comment interesting enugh to stick with for a while.
I'm not counting 'thread-hijacking' as OT, btw.
Anyway, there's been a recent TV commercial that I actually appreciated. Mostly because I'm one of them. And because I find it unusually sofisticated (for a Swedish commercial at least).
Translation:
'They're not like everybody else. They look at the world in a special way. Some are born with it. Some pick it up along the way. On the surface, everything looks immaculate. Beneath the surface, just as immaculate. They whistle their own melody. And they always know someone, who knows someone.

They are Swedish astigmatics.'

Switching topic once again then
I have survived the LAN-party. The 4 kids were very nice and actually more quiet than when son is gaming in his own room. After dawn, they nodded off, one after the other. I put blankets over them, and let them. Daughter was working at the church, and I went for the service. Didn't get much chance to talk though, she had more to after the service had finished, so I went home again. One of the boys had left, and the other three were back to sleep. I had a long good nap in the afternoon, to make up for lost sleep in the night. Not that they were noisy, I just checked on them a couple of times.
And now, daughter and boyfriend are snacking in the kitchen, before her leaving for the school week. I'm thinking I should call my mom.

Topic drifting again...
I found out this weekend that my mother's picked up the unedited manuscript I left at their house for my brother to read, and she's enjoying it.
My mother's normal idea of a good book is the latest celeb's biography. Actually, that's pretty much all she ever reads.
So it's very strange that she's reading my book, and more so that she's enjoying it

Today's google doodle: the Focault pendulum. Not sure how to work it though... no direct link, as it hasn't been archived yet.

Not the least bit strange that she's enjoying it, Pastey. It's a good read.
I have high hopes for the new dietary manager, Herman (probably Hermano). At the very least, I really like his black mandarin-style jacket and flat-topped toque! He's trying hard to herd the staff into some semblance of consistency and discipline, and school them on basics that one would think don't require reminding.
For example, if you put the butter packet on the hot plate along with the scrambled eggs, the patient will find it difficult to balance the result on their knife in order to butter their toast. Let alone open the packet without pouring ghee all over the eggs. *rolls eyes*

I've done the first set of "last" edits based on feedback on the book, really was quite a small tweak that should make it accessible to a larger audience. Hopefully it'll now be suited to younger/mid teens as well as older teens upwards.
Sounds great about the food Asters! Something like that should be obvious, but it still happens, a lot.

Are you having to find an agent or doing the indy Route?
108Xth Conversation at Lil's
Pastey Posted Sep 18, 2013
It'll be the indy route T'other half's a professional editor, I used to do print layout work, and I can also design. So all an agent would do is promotion and finding a publisher. I can use Lulu to publish and get it for sale in Amazon, and with a first book most agents seem to get you to have to do the promotion anyway...
...it should be available mid to late October from all good Amazon websites for a bargain price of whatever I finally work it out to be! Tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell random strangers on the street! The more people that buy it, the more money I make, and the less I need to find a new job so the more time I'll have to rebuild the Guide!
