Man that would have been a great time for Greebo to make an appearance... however, I think I'll have to invent a drink.

~Irv begins steaming milk, and brewing espresso. He coats the bottom of a mug with chocolate, and then adds a layer of honey. Pouring in two shots of espresso he mixes untill the gooey-er substances have melted and become liquid. Then he adds the steamed milk, filling to below the top of the mug, and stirs until mixed evenly. A layer of small marshmallows go ontop, followed by cinnamon sprinkles and whipped cream, which he tops off with caramel~

There, one "Cat Lazing in Front of a Fire". I realize you meant it as a joke, but I just wanted to see if I could do it! Tell me if it's good, won't you?

Invented 10 years ago in the Aroma Cafe, but thought it would be appropriate here as it's late, I'm puggled and in need of a curl-up on a soft cushion.

::watches as the squid makes its way across the room::

I am glad that my words were well received. They were certainly heartfelt. Without bemoaning the loss of the days of Leopard (pre-ripley and my favourite version of The Guide), I am glad that I still find myself here. And it is 100% because of the discussion here in the Salon. I keep this as the first tab in my browser. I have it open on at least one computer 24 hours a day. That has to say something about the quality of the people with whom I converse.

*Turns up late as always, wonders about putting the v/_\3 on for a when everyone else is on the harder stuff...*

All good reunions should have people turning up out if the woodwork. At least they all seem to have survived Aunty's latest sign-on change. All we need now is Irv himelf to reappear.

Nice to see you too, Marv. Those were fine words you said. Although the backlog eventually defeats me, the Atelier holds a special place in my heart. As do all my old friends here.

I'm glad you could make it, my friend. Yes, the backlog is a stern mistress, even when you pull the calling cards out of the stack of posts. It made me so nostalgic to read through that thread Affy brought along, all 49 posts of it. All the references to long-absent friends...

I'll say more about that later -- there are still salonistas that haven't arrived yet.
