Spending the 4th indoors and as low key as possible. I am utterly crushed with fatigue after my illness and want to actually rest for the remainder of the weekend.

Evening Taff! What have you been up to? Still being blown to bits up here. Looks like we've another day of it tomorrow too.

It's overcast here, too. Fireworks may just be rained out tonight.

Dunno what you lot are on about, rain? wind?, its been been like California here in Kent. Warm and sunny every day for the last 3 weeks and no sign that next week is going to be any different.
Happy 4th July to all US salonistas.

Morning Bel, good night all.

Sunny and cool morning, but it'll probably get really warm in the afternoon (really warm for this part of Sweden is anything above +25ºC/77ºF).

Morning all, hope those of you celebrating the 4th July had a blast (literally in some cases )
We've booked a holiday! Going to Praia da Luz for a week in late september. We have booked a hotel-type holiday but in a place that has apartments rather than hotel rooms so the boys get their own separate bedroom. We booked half board so we can eat in *and* out, and we paid for my parents so they don't need to worry about the expense It was curious to note that when I looked on googlemaps to see where the apartments were, it automatically marks the location of the apartments from where Madeline McCann went missing - presumably because so many people have searched for that.

Hope you've been able to get some rest over the weekend Marv.
Another weekend over and back at the desk, it always seem too short.

The library is closed today for our Independence Day holiday. I'm going to spend the morning and early afternoon with Mother and then hope to get to a book I've been wanting to read later on.
We had a fun evening yeserday. I enjoy the Bearded Cousins. Mother even seemed to enjoy herself, although she didn't eat much of anything.

My Fourth was very uneventful. You used to be able to see the whole city--and the big fireworks show--from my patio. I live on a hill above town. Now, I haven't been home during the Fourth for the last four years, so I assumed that was still the case. Apparently my neighbors' trees have grown in that time. Thanks to the lush foliage--usually a good thing--I wasn't able to see anything. On top of that, it was chilly; this morning it's only 40F/4.4C
So I went to bed and finished my book. Poo.

Our MR scanner is playing up today and the engineers are busy swearing at it and replacing parts.
You know how people are either Mac users or PC users? Well MRI radiographers are either Seimens or General Electric. Our scanner's GE and the hospital one is Seimens, they've been complaining about having to borrow the 'weird Seimens machine!'
