h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

A man whose favourite pizza place IRL is called Antonio's Pizza and Pasta Parlour awaits the pizza.

Antonio's real name is Tony. His parents emigrated from Scotland to NZ 30 years ago. My best trick? After a night at the Club, I order delivered-takeaways. I then ask to be dropped off at home since the delivery van is going my way.

*fills the Y's and nods in agreement*
Champagne and pizza is a nice combination. I like the decadence of it. You sit there with the pizza box, ripping strips off and munching happilly and then sip daintily from nice glasses, filled with nice drink Every couple of months I do this IRL.

*coming back up the stairs, looking round a stack of pizza boxes*

That would be a good idea! H2G2 gets more complicated every day. Over in the German village, now they have a pub and a pool and a book club of their own!

On the veranda as usual? I wonder where Styx is, he'll want to hear about this letter. Six pages! Five and a half if you don't include the drawings. He's having all sorts of adventures and still finds time to talk about song lyrics... He's even had a long trip in a 6-seater Cessna.

*sets boxes down on round table* There's pepperoni and a few veggie pizzas and beef and mushroom which is my favourite, and some plain cheese, and I even got one of those ham-pineapple ones.

*meanders over and happily attacks a red-onion-and-mushroom-with-extra-cheese*

ls there any of that crushed red pepper flake stuff about? l love that on pizza...

l'm tempted to go over and investigate the German area, but l fear my grasp of the language isn't nearly as good as it ought to be. Maybe if l brush up a bit. And figure out how to make my PC do an umlaut. lt's very annoying, having a browser that won't support punctuation, and --

*breaks off speaking suddenly as Diogenes trots in through the door and out by the table, sitting beneath it and staring up at the ham-and-pineapple pizza*

The thing that really made me laugh in QMike's letter is this little passage where he says "In Brisbane we have done things. Can't remember what though. Just asked dad and he can't remember either."

*puts letter away carefully and reaches for beef and mushroom pizza*

For all his carnivorous breeding, l've never seen a cat who leaned so close to vegetarianism. He often won't even go for tuna.

*starts quietly humming to herself*

You know you're having fun when you can't remember what you did. They went on a river trip, too, and QMike says his parents got sloshed on the free wine... Sounds like a really solid family.
