What I want is copies of the results. Do patients get to have prints of the scans? Or at least one brain slice?

The staff handed my MRI scan images to me when I was discharged from the emergency room. I was only scanned from neck to tail bone. No brain scan for me. My hernia is between L2 and L3.

I volunteer to trot down to the beach in a sarong, with hibiscus flowers in my hair, carrying those several-pint jugs of banana daquiri for the Viking invaders. I LIKE burly men in helmets, with red beards and long hair (the men, not the helmets).

(Also, I could spike the daquiris).

Lil, the last time I had an MRI, I got a CD. They told me the first one was free - after that it's $20 a pop. Pretty reasonable, I think. They'll give you the films for free, but they're a bit difficult to read if you don't have a light box. And they're difficult to read no matter what, unless you're a radiologist. I learned that the hard way. Years after looking at the radiologist's report and looking at my MRIs, I'm finally seeing a little of what they're talking about! There's a reason why they go to school for that sort of thing. It won't stop me from continuing to look at my MRIs, though.

A CD? Cool! I could mix the images into my art.

So we're going to subvert the Vikings? Since all my beach clothes are black with long skirts and hose, I don't think I'll be very effective. But I could organize some loot.

Actually, with all the librarians and academics in here, you'd think we could send them packing with a united Lòók!
