Munchkin's birthday? Happy birthday! What motif would you like on your socks?

Cornered Mum as planned in John Lewis. We have in fact somehow bought more makeup (and classy expensive makeup too! What a change from kohl and lip balm), but hair is as disarranged as ever. And most of out time was taken up in mum lamenting her wardrobe and trying trousers on (and me surreptitiously banging my head on the wall). But I have sternly pointed out that sis is being too attention seeking, and Mum has agreed. But then we had a loooooonnnnng discussion about sis's problems. So we shall see.

Oh, and have found embroidered stoles for the bridesmaids. Jolly good.

Tomorrow will be my last day on Hootoo for nearly two weeks. I hope to nip online to put some photos up and say hi on Sunday, but I doubt I'll have time to chat before I get whisked off to the wilds of Suffolk to do 'absolutely nothing' for a week. So please don't be on tenterhooks for updates. I will come back and tell all in huge detail. Just... not immediately.

I do feel twittery and nervous now. Deep breaths, deep breaths.

Hi, I'm Phil.
I suggested pizza and buffalo wings in the hootoo adiction clinic years ago. I'm still here. It didn't stop the adiction, just made me want more (pizza 'n' wings that is smiley - winkeye)

I don't believe there is one that does not cause permanent psychological damage.

Okay... This morning when I got to work our Dr. Linda told us we had a breakin last night. We were asked to make sure nothing was damaged or missing. As it turned out nothing was missing and the only damage was the guy took my "COPY" stamp and stamped a couple of my papers and half my desk and half of one of my co-workers in the cubby to my left. He also wrote a message on my coworker behind me desk, "I love U!" He didn't bother the remaining co-worker's cubby. He got in by throwing a cement block through the southside door. After doing our area he sat down in a chair facing the street and waited. He figured the police would be there any minute. The problem was we do not have an alarm on our building. All he wanted was for the cops to come along and arrest him so he would have room and board for a few weeks till the weather warms up. After awhile he wandered off and found our breakroom and made himself some coffee and ate a bag of potato chips. Then he wandered about some more and found Dr. Linda's office unlocked. He went in and sat there and then tried calling 911. After several futile attempts because he didn't know how to get an outside line he got up once more and walked down the street to a place called Checkers. They apparently didn't have time to listen to him so he walked down further to a gas station. The attendant listened to the guy explain what he had done and called the police for him. So at three o'clock this morning Dr. Linda got a call to come down and check things out. She didn't get much sleep last night and today had three classes to teach regarding the new Medical Records, Payroll and Billing system. Poor guy really had to work at getting arrested. Life is just not fair. What we don't know is why here in Bowling Green which is fifteen miles south of where he came from in Temperance, Michigan. Maybe BG has better cells than Toledo.

I took some pictures and will E-mail them tonight to Dr. Myerholtz, AKA, Dr. Linda. The reason we call her Dr. Linda is she is so young. A couple of years ago we went up to Detroit for a gambling outing. Linda didn't take any ID and the security would not beleive she was 21 or over. Mind you she has a teenage daughter and was with her husband. She even tried going around to another entrance and was busted. She is probably the nicest top ranked executive there and does not stand on ceremony regarding her title.

That's much more effort than I had to make to get arrested. I am impressed with his persistence however.

I have neither trouble sleeping nor falling asleep but with the concept of sleep. It appears to be a punishment I am setting and my logical side cannot kick in enough to overrule it. I did have two hours earlier this evening however the entire situation is starting to get rather out of hand and hopefully the surgeon will inform me that my leg is in fact healing tomorrow. Otherwise I may well lose it entirely and just go mad and I haven't done that in half a year or more.

smiley - catKat,
don't know if this works for everyone, but all I have to do is sit in my easy chair, turn on the television and in less than fifteen minutes I am asleep. I do not remember the last movie where I saw the beginning, the middle and the end.

smiley - goodluck at the doctors tomorrow. If it would not be to presumptious here is a smiley - hug to tide you till then.

smiley - hug That sounds terrible, Kat! My mom suffers from the same problem - lack of sleep due to anxiety. At her worst, she'd go to bed at 10:00 pm, then wake up at 1:00 am. Best of with the surgeon.

So a convert is born... I had sushi tonight for the first time. Tuna, Salmon, and Shrimp. I think that i liked the Tuna the best and the salmon teh least. There were a few california rolls in there for good measure. I regained my admiration for wasabi tonight, and we made it home without getting in to an accident. I call that a win.
