David, we have free ILL service for our patrons. Drives the larger library a few miles away crazy. But we do have a limit on the number of free requests per month. Otherwise we'd go broke in a hurry.
Actually, that does sound like an unfortunate policy change. Unless your fees are very low to begin with.
My sympathies to everyone suffering with allergies. I heard that this is going to be an especially bad year for many pollens.

Thanks Hyp that made me feel better!
Think im going to be worse this year anyway, im losing the abilty to breath out of my nose and my chest is acting up. Or is that the chest infection? Who knows, i have asthma, hayfever and a chest infection but life goes on.
Suppose I should go back to this organic chemistry assignment!

Nope, d'E. None of the antihistamines I've tried have had much effect. Things are very bad now - I look as if I've gone several rounds with Mike Tyson . And yet I must go out shopping because I've nothing left in the house except a bag of spinach. Paper bag time, methinks .
I've cancelled the w*rk booking for tomorrow. In many jobs you can get away with being under the weather and looking a fright, but not with kids.
I have an appointment with the on Monday but I might have another try for an emergency one tomorrow morning.

Great minds, Orm .
I got a lot of funny looks while I was out. To be honest, I do look like a battered wife .

I thought the Danube was gray - at least it's been the times I've seen it...
or as preferred to those in need
Tired. HAve just come home after a whoooosh-trip to Italy (Occhiobello - nice name, innit? in the vicinity of Bologna). Flew out 6:50 yesterday and drove 290 km from Milan. Had a meeting from something like 15 to 21 (3 to 9 pm for those not inclined to work out a 24-hour clock ) and then went to dinner.
Absolutely lovely classical 5-course Italian dinner. Antipasta, pasta, different pasta, a wonderful serving of different meats with vegetables and a mascarpone dessert that once more proved that calories taste better than vitamins . And then, at something like - ermmmmm - 23 / 11pm, we restarted tha business talk. ANd went on until we were dropped off at the hotel at 1:45 (am).
And I got up at 5 to drive the 45 mins or so to Bologna airport.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'll go slump in a corner and yawn until I can defend going to bed (children to take care of, hence not now - malheureusement )

Oh dear, Amy, you don't sound well at all -- and neither do you, hnicky.
I have a load of printing to do today, in order to earn 5 or 6 small cheques. Together, they'll make the work worthwhile, though. I'll also see the last of my first-day cover auctions finish, and then it will be time to start on the mint sheets.

Montana Redhead (now with letters) Posted Apr 14, 2005
I'm certain now that the world is conspiring against me ever getting enough sleep. This morning, it was one of my daughter's friends who wanted to see if she could play...at 7:15! And of course, he's 8, so does he knock, realize nobody answered, and come back later?
Oh no. He knocks until not only I, but my neighbor, get up and go to the door!

No colds, no headaches, no allergies here. Just a persistent simmering anger upon hearing the national news this morning.

MR, Microsoft sent out a press letter about the hijacking of DNS servers last week, or perhaps the week before. You didn't download that update from microsoft- you were most likely redirected to another site.
Ah. OSX. I love thee so. More and more with each passing day.
