You can get braces for your toenails? How odd...
> tried to sort out his own ingrowing toenail with a pair of large wirecutters...
This all combines to remind me of a friend of mine who told me that his wisdom teeth were coming in, and he was breaking them off with a pair of pliers. I told him to get thee to a doctor, go.

It's currently 70F in the US South. It was 75 when I left for work this morning. Tomorrow it is supposed to get down to a shilly 50something.

The temperature here has climbed to 24ºF. It will go down into single digits tonight. Marv, a chilly 50 sounds wonderful.
Lentilla, I used to love winters in San Antonio. I wasn't as crazy about the rest of the year, though.
Braces for nails? Interesting.

There's a certain time period between October and January where the days are bright blue, no clouds, and the air is crisp and clear. Those are my favorite kinds of days. The days when it's icy and frozen are not... but I do enjoy staying inside and baking, so it works out.
I tried baking a brownie mix in the cast iron frying pan last night. The brownies came out a bit flat, but nice and crunchy.

raining here has been all day
wisdom teeth gratefull for mine as the tooth in front had been extracted and as the gum shrank it came through, as for digging out with pliars done that as well, with broken teeth even worse, screwdriver needed to prise away from gums, though the body does reasorbe them over time, they will then become chewable to finish the job

Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time by an oral surgeon in Anchorage, Ak. I lived in Fairbanks at the time. Interesting to commute 450 miles to have your teeth removed. We went to a double feature movie that afternoon, I slept through it all. this was after the pain medication had made me pass out in the bookstore we visited. All because we were staying in our van because we were too broke to pay for a hotel during our sojourn in Anchorage. They wanted us to stay down there 24 hours to make sure that my stitches were holding and i wasn't getting an infection.

Good news GDZ.
5/7 for the quizz - some of the words are like old Norse, I think it is called.
A nail brace indeed: Relieves the pain immediately and can result in making the nail grow different. http://www.lasf.dk/Default.aspx?tabid=568&mid=1315&ctl=Photo&ItemID=723

dont suppose missing b in reabsorbe, was noticed, do remember waking up one night with a bit of soft tooth, was badly decayed took me two or three days to dig another one out, was fed up with the high cost of dentist, even with NHS costs of cheapest course was one and a halfs weeks wages, down to dentist in the 60s being paid per filling, so of course by the time was 15 every tooth had been filled, then each subsiquent trip to them refilling took out more of the edge, been about twelve years since last saw one, only ever had two of them extracted by dentist.
BB taken me years of dedication, rather than practise to achieve the this plateau I tell my tales from.

Yikes, LTP - I thought breaking off your wisdom teeth with pliers was bad, but digging them out with a screwdriver! Eep.
Makes my memories of the dentist seem pleasant by comparison.
