Pratchett may say it's only apples but in fact it's mainly ethanol. I know, I spent most of my larval state in the West Country.

I pray that hostilities will lessen, that enmity will dissolve and that people will learn to love instead of fight.

Happy New Year, everyone
My Mum made explosive ginger beer, Dad used to joke about calling in his Bomb Squad unit to deal with it. The ones that didn't explode where very good though.
H became veggie nearly 20 years ago. He read a book by some chap who said that the amount of antibiotics and steroids fed to farm animals would eventually have a serious effect on both animals and humans. He gave up eating red meat and over a period of a couple of years found that he went off poultry then finally fish. I haven't cooked tofu for him yet, but do use paneer, an Indian hard cheese, from time to time.
