The planning departments seem to think that by trying to restrict parking spaces they restrict car ownership/use. No chance. There is a reasonable sided development going on on the edge of the village here. So far all that has been done is to rework the culvert that was put in illegaly so that all the houses they put up won't have problems if it ever floods. The land is where there used to be a mill a long time ago so getting it reused is fine. It's the bridge where the railway used to run thats a problem. Two right angle bends leading into and out of the bridge that can catch people unawares if they're going a bit fast (or even slowly if they're driving a big truck).
Have fun in Ireland Ag. Have fun at the folk festival Lentilla.
Have fun everyone else
What do I want to be when I grow up? I used to want to be a train driver or an astronaut. Then I decided I wanted to be an engineery type of person. Now I'm not sure what I want to be when I grow up, still alive and healthy (that is free of complications of this darn condition I've got) I think
I've so far succeded in being an engineery type person for a while, I'll let you know if I'm still alive and healthy when I grow up.
Hello Az. I agree with what was said about being ignored. Things are read, just not always commented upon bute they might be at some point in the future.

The office of the deputy PM exists
A)To get ministers out of trouble
B)To provide jobs for freinds of ministers
C)To do the actual work the ministers were employed to do in the first place
D) Does not actualy exsist the prime ministers just uses the office to delay matters or divert complaints away from him
E) no one really knows what it does.
F) It now has so many freemasons and other hidden committies all being employed to pave the way for bigger projects.hi az Most of which need to be so secrecrative and furtive as unofficial so no time to attend to official buisness
G) non of the above.
I've got loads of response from there over the last six years, seems they dont get involved till the matter has become so complicated that it will take a decade to sort out and the ministers know by then they can blame any catastrophies on predecessors.
P.s have sent a copy of Az post to them, perhaps they may alter the statute books, so we allhave to say hallo to Az

Sol, singing is a great hobby for many reasons. It is great for mental health and has other physical (breathing) and mental (quick-thinking) benefits as well. Choral singing can be very hard, particularly if (like me) you don't really understand the dots and squiggles on the page because you've never had any training, but there is a great satisfaction in getting it right, and the feeling when your voice blends with everyone else's to create something magical is amazing. I don't understand music at all, but I know it has incredible power.

I used to be in a small madrigal singing group. The product is always greater than the sum of the voices, somehow! In fact, the small ensemble has survived pretty much continuously -- we have barbershop quartets and then doo-wop.
*looks around anxiously* Isn't there someone around here that we're supposed to not ignore?
Birdie brought in a very brave and resourceful baby mouse and lost it in my office. I was furious. I don't want to have to tear down the bookshelves to get at the cadaver. But, just as I knew it would happen, banging and crashing resumed at 4:30 this morning; either the baby mouse showed itself or else she brought in a second one. I may have to re-think leaving the catdoor open.
And I could't rant about it last night because the servers were all webjello'd up. When we decry the loss of old friends let's not forget that one significant reason has to be the crappiest infrastructure of any major website on the planet.

Well, tomorrow (which was supposed to be a day that I was supposed to be in SLC but could not because my team lead can't schedule anything)six people from my team are out on vacation. There are only 10 people total on my team, and half of them are new. Saturday, Sunday and Monday I am moving. Instead of going to the beach like I planned, I get to move... I've got to get everything ready by teh end of the month.
Oh, and today is some holliday in Brussles, which means that I get stuck taking more cases.

Let me rephrase that. It is, of course Ascension Day all over the world, I meant 'all of Europe has a day off for Ascension Day'

Post Office this morning. Another scintillating schedule. Actually, I enjoy the sorting, the physical activity and then the socializing as my neighbors come in to get their mail and gossip. Constructive gossip, of course, the sort that basically checks up on everyone else's well-being.

Aha! I see this is a cunning plan devised by you lot in order to get people to stick around *just in case* they aren't ignored in the long term. Well . . . I might fall for it, or I might disappear again for a couple of months so that later on I can have everyone welcome me back and make a big fuss over me all over again.
You never know what us Official Hootoo Troublemakers might get up to next (blame Wilma).

Not *all* of Europe - it's not a holiday here, which is actually a bit surprising as Spaniards take their holidays very seriously and don't usually miss an opportunity for one.

Learn soemthing new every day. Not only does Spain normally take its holidays seriously, it's normally pretty hot on its religion too.

Tries to whip out an e from a posting earlier (no, I'm not off to a rave and taking drugs ) and realises that he's missed his chance now Az has pointed it out.
Still healthy. My HbA1c level is 6.9%, down from 7.5%. Seems the insulin regime I'm on is working at the moment. While this is now within the guidelins (less than 7%) I'd prefer it to come down a little further and be under 6.5% What I need is to be able to get a handle on mornings. One day I get a 5.4mmol/l and the next I get 12.9mmol/l Can't it be simple and I just have a normal working pancreas back please. Everything else seems fine, cholesterol numbers are good (so they shood be the amount of money that's spent on drugs for me) and my BP is fine.
Morning GDZ.

Phil, my next door neighbor has junenile diabetes. She's in her 80's and her mother had it and lived to be 102. It is possible to live a long, otherwise healthy life with it if you take it seriously and manage it.

I did not *point out* that extra e at all, Phil. Just thought you were maybe being a wee bit Scottish.

Firstly, not pointing out your GLARING typo, Kerr, just to say it's odd that Spain doesn't have Ascension Day as a national holiday - it may very well be a local holiday in some cities here.

I am going to google for Acension Day, as I haven't a clue what it is about.
I am glad that I did not phrase it as an obscure holliday then ; ).
We get to cover for a lot of hollidays for out Euro counterparts, yet we don't really get any to speak of. We get one day a year off completely.
