Possibly.
In discussions with my friend, I have been asked to referr to her in female pronouns and by her female name whenever possible. This actually makes it easier for me. As always disccusion and discourse allow for proper communication and clarity of thought.

Hi,
I've just spoken to my flatmate about this, he supported me through it all, and was my next of kin when I had surgery.
He seemed a bit confused by it all. And just said practice getting the name right, start using it as early as possible because she won't mind a few slip ups at first. But she won't be that tolerant later on.
Don't discuss how you feel about it too much with her, she's got enough to deal with as it is, and if it's causing you problems, then she'll only blame her self for it.
But then it was a bit different for ftms, because I didn't actally change my appearance that much at. I looked sort of the same for a while, because the change was more gradual.
Oh and please don't mention how cool you are with it every time you see her, because that does get annoying.
Personally the only person I've lost touch with is one (male) friend who used to be very physically affectionate with me, which I really don't feel comfortable with any more.

Thank you, Z, for the advise. This will help both of us in the long run I am sure.

Happy Birthday Mac!
Oh dear - *somebody* at work has received an e-mail with one of those things copying the address book - I've been receiving very odd mails recently, and when I checked them up, they seem to have been sent to the entire HQ and most of the hotels as well... ho humm... ...when will they ever learn...

LookOutSucks
This is why people need to use a different mail client.

Ah - but this would be a case of Groupwise (our omnipotent mail program) - and I've double-checked that our IT-department is receiving them as well - which, I hope, will put an end to it, sooner or later... (not too sure though, since it's been going on for a couple of days)

Can you suggest one? I find the opera one quiet inadequate...

Welcome back to virtual life, Tocc! We had been speaking of you lately, hoping that you were both well.
What with the size of this thread, it would be impossible to summarise adequately, and you both are certainly excused the backlog. I'll just tell you the latest bits:
We have Z with us as a salonista now
We have a cat called Gussie who adopted us what, a week ago?
We have redone the atelier interior -- see http://www.asterlil.com/h2g2/aplannew.htm -- and the s are in hog heaven in one corner, while the workshops are coming to life in another. You'll see other threads runing concurrently with this one.
B4 is going to start maintaining a fish tank, or a set of them along that wall *points* and he's even taken a workshop just to bring them along and all. We all insisted that there be lots of neon tetras.
Mac has just turned 42.
The Panto is still going.
If there is anything else crucual I've missed, the others will speak up.
OK, y'all were discussing gardening and flowers with such gusto. Who wants to team up to maintain the conservatory? What about the atrium?

*sighs*
...and the spam to my 'spam' address is just getting worse - 57 mails to delete today!
Let's see - apart from the usual penis/breast enlargements, and mortgage, and 'your VISA gold application has been approved' I've got...
...TV for free, romantic moonlist cruise, no payback, custom keychain breathalyzer(!), free health insurance and anti-aging miracle (anyone want me to pass the link?)

The library is a storm shelter. I've been working out a plan with the fire department where they will unlock my building for me if we're closed and I'm unavailable. I have a board member who was upset because city hall had a key to the building a couple of years ago, but I can't imagine anyone being upset at the fire department having a key.

Would anyone here happen to know if an inflamed muscle can give you a high temperature? I've been off work for two days now, with headache, fever and the entire shoulder area feeling stiff and aching...
...and the only thing I could think of was being exposed to a draft 3 days ago - but would that really cause a high temperature?
I've bought some kind of liniment(?) but it only works for a couple of hours, and then I can feel the muscles tying up again...

Courtesy38 Posted May 8, 2003
Ti - it sounds like the inflamed muscle might be a symptom and not the cause.

I agree with Courtesy. The muscle may well not be the prime symptom of what's wrong.
On the subject of spam, today I went down to the Mighty Walmart to pick up my new glasses and shop. I was tempted as I went past one of their mid-aisle displays and picked up a bottle of Coral Calcium capsules with Vit D&E in them, thinking that what with the diet and my age they could only help.
When I came home and opened my email, one of my spams was from... Coral Calcium.
You don't suppose WalMart has some sort of direct link from their inventory to my atm card info, do you??? And that they would be selling this information?

Any kind of inflammation can give the high temperature. If it is about a muscle you could try to cure it with ibuprofen.

Hello all. Bar a few dabbles at work this is the first time I have been on in ages. All hail the mighty home broadband connection. It made Shada rather fun to watch, cheers for that BB.
I feel this flat may well be heaven soon, what with its multiple PCs, HUGE televisions and multiple interesting kitchen gadgets. Now to see what other conversations I can just leap back into.

Z, there are two options for a good mail client. Pegasus is what I use at work and at home. http://www.pmail.com Also the Mozilla Project has their Thunderbird mail client. It looks a lot like the netscape client, so I don't much like it, but you might. http://www.mozilla.org/projects/thunderbird/
FTR http://www.mozilla.com/projects/phoenix is the best browser I have ever used.
