I think I've seen something very similar in the greenhouse section of the garden centre. Must have a different name here, I'm sure I would remember Idian Paintbrush. It is a very pretty plant.
I shall stick the latin name in the RHS database and see what comes out.

Nope, couldn't find at the RHS, BBC plantfinder or at Kew. Can't be grown anywhere in the UK presumably, or at least not available. It looks a little like a salvia, perhaps that's what I'm confusing it with.

I feel sick. The meeting w/ the HR flack was not great and certain words were bandied about that make me nervous.

Marv, was there any indication of a set-up? And how long are they going to make you dangle?

for Marv - I am truly horrified by what has happened. Lil's suggestion that you move away completely when it is all over seems to me to be a very good one.
Welcome Trazeus - good to see that you took up my suggestion of joining what has to be one of the best threads in h2g2 - it moves fast, which is why I keep on skipping out of it.

I feel enormously complimented by what agcBen just said, even though it's all the salonistas and their contributions that make this place so great. The feeling could be compared to being complimented on your food when you had caterers in, albeit on your own china.
Marv, there's nothing worse than a room full of suits drunk with power and aiming to scare you into submission. Stay cool.

Talking to landsharks now about it. I hope to hear back from one soon regarding my issue... Sheesh, they cost a lot. I am looking at about $200+/hr

Before I say anything else let me join the crowds of well wishers; Welcome Trazeus1
I have actually played alltogether too much Baldur's gate. I beat the first one and am getting close on the second. I don't remember having any particiluar problem with my stuff getting stolen though. Although Trish is telling me that it has happened to her.
Today the ice melts. I have been stuck in my appartment for two days from the ice.
Well I am off to class, I will probably be on later tonight though.

Hang tough, Marv. Whoever said it is right, they're just trying to scare you.
Here's a mountain hollyhock:

And when I said lady slipper, I meant the fairy slipper orchid. Fairy...lady...whatever. Here's a nice fairy slipper:

My apologies if my links have made the Atelier a wider place to be.

::wandering through with book in hand::
Don't get too nervous, Marv. If the Feds were already involved in this they would have been talking to you, not some paper tiger from HR. What you have been told here so far is good advice. Get a lawyer. Listen to what your lawyer has to say. When this is over figure out where in the world you really want to live. (Your options don't need to have a 50 state boundary.
::looking around::
Hi everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome. Comfy chairs in the library, Lil.

One mark of a good hostess is attracting people of good character and conversation to her gatherings. And I've gathered from the small amount of reading I've done so far that you do have some characters here.

Again, thanks for the support my friends. This is likely to be a very trying few days for me. Excuse me whilst I go get drunk.
Matina? A G&T please?

I wrote the introduction to the next thread twice cos I was trying to remember everything. And I went and forgot the title!!!

Did I do ~that~ right?
Do you think we could get an italic to change the header on the first post? Oh dear, it looks SO untidy. *wrings hands*
And this after I forgot the number from 49 to 4A in the last sequence. I'm getting old.

Lil, if you change the new thread or start over does that mean I'm not first anymore?
And have I really been that lax about posting? My, how I let these things go, sometimes.
Key: Complain about this post
