I just did two LEDs of blog and skipped 10.
Sorry, I can't make it.
The snow storm is reaching my hometown. The ashes keep trying to get out of my stoves and the roof is makind the sound of thunder - I hope I'll have a roof in the morning.

OK Lil - you expert equestrian things - me expert (well, almost) figure skating things...
Just learnt that the storm passing over/through Stockholm had a wind force/speed/whatever of 30 m/s which seems to be about 67 miles/hour

It has been pretty windy here, T, but nothing to match your storm, thank goodness. Although the weather forcast for Scotland and northern England looks pretty hairy for tomorrow, I expect it won't reach down here.
I was good at swimming, but hopeless at the synchronised bit, because of all the counting involved. Everyone else would be bobbing up gracefully with their hands in the air, I would lose count and be waving my legs around instead .

Meanwhile here we are in the worst drought this region has seen in over 75 years. Two of the counties to the north of me have (according to the TV news) only 100 days worth of water left in their reservoirs. You people with snow, start packing it in buckets. You might have to ship it here soon. Hopefully it won't follow the same shipping route as Sporky's iMac.
Ack. No plans for the weekend. I lead such a boring life.

d'E, I certainly hope it follows Sporky's iMac route! Montana's been in a drought--one that led to the infamous fires of 2000 (which you find out about at http://www.fs.fed.us/r1/ecology/fire2000/index.html, aren't URL's great )--for the past several years. We would love some snow right about now...

Alternately, http://www.nifc.gov/fireinfo/2000/index.html is an excellent site to learn about the Fires of 2000.

My weekend will be spent shuttling my girls to master classes at a dance convention followed by a carnival at the local high school. Someday, I swear, I will get my life back.
sea, how about a perm? Or is that hopelessly out of date??

We have drought here, too. That's why I'm getting free woodcutting service from the BLM. Old Mr. Thomas, in his late 70's, says it's the worst he can remember.
I hate it when the wind gusts from a certain direction -- until the fire is hot enough, the smoke blows into the room. Just what I need when recovering from a cold!!

sea, if it's curly, get it bricked. ask around.
if not, I'd say short. really short. like get out of bed and go short. I personally look really bad in short hair, but some days having my mop is just a bit much....
graf-o-rama?! Okay then.
Well, Marv, Kaleah is now on valium. 15 mg a day. The peeing all over the house did not improve when he got fixed, so now we are trying something else. Right now he's too stoned to get ON the furniture, much less pee on it. Poor boy. I hope it's temporary!

WM, just when you think you've got your life back, their cars go up in smoke and you're ferrying them around again until they can get the cars fixed!
H had far more success than me at the retail therapy session. He bought loads of new clothes! I managed a new pair of jeans, but couldn't find anything else so shall have to make up for it in Paris
A jazz band where playing in the High Street, advertising their gig tonight, looks we are going to that. I don't mind jazz I can dance to, but that stuff that sounds like all the band members are playing different tunes makes me want to slap them!

It snowed here last night. Nasty, sharp, icy snow. The max wind speed in the city centre on Friday morning was 77mph. A new record.

Agreed also. Isn't music supposed to be euphonious and stirring? I remember remarking about a pop song that the sound was hard and ugly, and someone replied, they're singing about a hard and ugly emotion. I'm not sure about the logic there. Handled correctly, unusual noises and dissonances can sound fantastic. Look at Le Sacre du Printemps (Stravinsky).
Morning stint at the post office ahead. Hope Munchers doesn't get blown away on his camping trip!
