The Dalai Lama - a wonderful man. Reminded me very strongly of my father, who would have been a Buddhist, given the chance.
In fairness to Z and to me, I have never had to raise children on a tight budget, and I am sure that I would be more organised about food (don't eat the cheese, we need it for pizza) if I had done.

Finished Wayfarer Redemption today, now I have to find something to read until I can get to the library tomorrow.

I've just started reading Blue Highways by William Least-Heat Moon. There's one cheap paperback left unread in the house -- after that I might re-read something, unless Harper's arrives.

Work was...well, work. I was busy. Who knew so many people bought 2006 calendars in September of 2005?!
Talked to Courtesy...if my mangler approves, I've got the weekend of the meet off!

Onyone else notice that memes travel faster on the internet (and broader) than in real life?
It's become the defacto standard in the salon to refer to one's supervisory staff as manglers (I take full credit for this(I learned this from ASR)) as an example. There is a very select group of people all over the world who understand this meme, all regulars of the salon. Might the phrase manglement be meaningless otherwise?

Lil, I regret that I will be unable to attend I wanted to, it's just not feasible for me right now. I will make one of these meets, hopefully soon.

Aw GDZ ... Well, you don't live all that far away in US terms. I'm sure we can arrange a meet again in future, and have FG make it this time.

I'm just wondering how well Monday is going to go...I'm going to be darn tired. I think I may assign presentations for the week.

Made my Monday morning, Madam
(not sure if Madam is indeed an optimal way of addressing you, Ag - but I couldn't resist the alliteration )

Yes, you didn't exactly have a good time at the end of the last thread, did you?
Marv, it amuses me that there are a sprinking of people around the world who refer to British public holidays as Ban Collie Days. Us, my two sisters and my brother, and that's about it!
I've done some of my paperwork this morning. This 'put it in neat piles and do a little each morning' plan might just work!

I always plan what each evenings' meal is going to be for the week and buy accordingly. Plans get scuppered by 'im indoors announcing 'well I was hungry when I got in and....', but the thought's there.
C&C to all those that need it .
